Perched on a hillside of the famous Hunter Mountain, just a short walk from the ski slopes in winter and mere steps from the lake in summer. With unlimited hiking options and top-notch golf courses just minutes away, our location truly has it all for those seeking adventure and relaxation or a memorable venue for reunions and gatherings. After years of thoughtful renovations, this gem from 1970s has become a cherished retreat, ideal for large families and groups of friends. Our prime location is unbeatable! In the winter, you’ll appreciate a short walk to the ski slopes, while in summer, you’ll be just steps away from the lake for swimming, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), or cast a line and fish right in the backyard. After a day of adventure, unwind in the hot tub or rejuvenate in the sauna, making your stay even more relaxing. Adventure awaits with unlimited hiking trails nearby, and for golf enthusiasts, some of the best courses are just a short drive away From May through October you can Swim, Fish and use the supplied Kayaks and a paddle boat at the private lake steps from the house. We're only 1 mile to Hunter Mountain Resort, 1 mile to town, 5 miles to Tannersville & 9 miles to Windham Mtn. 20 minutes to Saugerties and 30 to Woodstock. There are 3 golf courses within 20 minutes and a water park and many other activities within 30 minutes. In the Winter skiing and snowboarding and tubing are only 3 minutes away at Hunter Mountain 1 mile directly up the road and Windham Mtn is only 15 minutes away. \*\*\* For gatherings of 20-30 guests, you have the option to reserve two houses located just a few steps apart. QUIET TIMES: We are located in a residential community and, although this is a holiday destination, it's home to many people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! HAVE FUN, BE SAFE, AND WHEN ON THE DECK PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF OUR NEIGHBORS. Specifically, between the hours of 10pm and 8am noise should be kept to a minimum. OUTDOOR FIRE-PIT: New York Campfire Law: No flames more than 3feet high and 4 feet wide. FIRES MUST ALWAYS BE ATTENDED AND FULLY EXTINGUISHED (NO MORE SMOKE) PRIOR TO LEAVING. Do NOT make a fire if the wind is strong, if we're in a drought and or if the grasses are very dry! If you make a fire, keep it under control and never have more than a few logs going at any one time. This will keep the sparks down and risk to a minimum. Always make sure the fire has burned out and OR been dosed with water before you leave the area. Intoxicated people managing fires are dangerous to all and should not be allowed near any fire! Plenty of space and plenty to do! We appreciated the attention to detail and the modern touches within this home. The house is beautifully furnished; there were plenty of towels and condiments and utensils and the beds were very comfortable. Not only are there plenty of very comfy rooms, but the heated floors and amenities made our stay super cozy. Everything about this house was incredible, all of our guests were truly comfortable. We didn't get a chance to try the sauna, kayaks, or hot tub so that will be something for the next time. Additionally, the host was super nice, provided a lot of information, and was super accommodating when we requested an additional nights stay. Feb 3, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Fantastic Hunter Mountain Location We stayed at the Lakefront Retreat for our annual ski trip with two other families. It was absolutely perfect for us. There was plenty of space for the kids and adults to spread out, everyone loved the game room downstairs, and the lake views are beautiful. The Hunter parking lot is less than a 3 minute drive from the house so it's easy to either shuttle skiiers back and forth or to just make the quick drive to the lot and park for the day. We didn't make use of the sauna, but nothing compares to a hot tub on a chilly evening after a long day of skiing. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well appointed, and the whole home was clean. We loved the hot tub and fire pit. The host was very quick to respond to any questions and very nice. The lake made for a pretty view however there were lots of dead fish (Obviously no fault to the host). The town center was a quick 15 min drive with cute shops to walk around. The home itself is in an ideal location, beautifully furnished, and perfectly laid out for groups. From the sauna to the hot tub to the lake, there was plenty to do. Nataliya was kind, communicative, and even went out of her way to send a few forgotten items to their rightful owner. Large house, comfy beds, all the kitchen stuff you could need and of course lake is great. Life jackets and 3 small kayaks, pedal boat and 1 SUP are there to use. Perfect for kids.
