Staff were very welcoming. Fruit and drinks on arrival while sitting down with staff to discuss our site seeing options during our stay. Bathroom was not in great condition and night clubs nearby were a bit noisy until 12pm. Great location, close to

The Orchid Hotel was a great place to stay. The front desk staff were very helpful, especially Emma. There were several complimentary items in the room that really came in handy. We enjoyed our stay and will visit again.

Wonderful staff: friendly, helpful. Breakfasts were very good. Hotel is a bit old, but charming. Located in a neighborhood with lots of bars and discotheques, whose DJs competed to see who had the best amps. Hotel not very soundproof. Great place for young people who like that type of action.

From a high floor the view was exciting especially at night. Room was large with a Jacuzzi. Breakfast was tasty and unlimited and not buffet style as they served us at our table. Staff was very friendly and helpful specially Emma and Kaity. Many dining options nearby.

Very clean, comfortable, well appointed hotel. Small and personable. Good location, walkable to all the main sites. We were there for the opening ceremonies for their reunification day. Lots of local cultures and festivities. The breakfast was homemade, to your preference. They provided a tour of the city with a wonderful tour guide, Ruby. I highly recommend.

The Purple Orchid hotel is located in the heart of old town Hue- within walking distance of the market and Imperial City. The hotel has good amenities like air conditioners and free water/coffee in room. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Great location and great staff
The staff is so helpful and kind. When we arrived, Lin sat with us and showed us where the sites were and asked if we needed help setting anything up. Lin set up two sight seeing trips and both were awesome. We needed laundry done and it came back in less than 6 hours. In the morning, Lin and Ruby were cheerful and started our day with a smile.

The Orchid is a small hotel providing modest comforts - the room was very comfortable and quiet, a relaxing space to return to after a day's outing; the hotel is well positioned for easy walking to numerous restaurants, cafes and shops nearby, and to the river and over the bridge to the market and Citadel. The stand-out feature is the brilliant staff - enthusiastic, welcoming, friendly and ready to help with anything you need. We enjoyed our 4 days in Hue, all thanks to the wonderful staff at the Orchid Hotel.

This hotel was conveniently located with many dining options. The staff was friendly and helpful. The loud music in the bars across the street until midnight made for a difficult sleep but this is not the fault of the hotel.

Its quite central Hue for foreigners and tourists. I was solo and only stayed one night at this location during the tet new year so lots of businesses and shops were closed during this time of the year. This is my second time in Hue so this was a different experience but i like staying in this area for convenience.

The location was excellent and the staff all superb. When we had a problem with a cancelled train they sorted us out very quickly with alternative transport. I cannot recommend the Orchid Hotel highly enough

The location was good.
First of all, we were allocated Room701. It was a kids' playroom. There was a completely round bed and beside it was a bath without any curtains nor a door. I don't know what kind of people except a teenager couple. We asked for another room which was next door. It was OK, but the corners of the room was dusty. The receptionist was Okay except that she was too eager to book a tour for us, which we found later was much more expensive than booking at a travel agency near by.

Stayed 3 nights. Good room and breakfast. Staff very good. Had to arrange an extra night. They gave me the honeymoon suite (at a supposedly higher price) for the dame as the other 3 nights. IT WAS AWFUL! The marriage would have ended there and then. BUT other than that hiccup, the stay was good

The only possible disappointing feature was the brick wall outside my bedroom window but as I only spent one day and two nights it was fine. I was very happy to be picked up from the train station late at night and this more than compensated for the above.

We were only here for a night but really enjoyed our short stay. The staff was very helpful and arranged a private car service that took us to our next city for reasonable price. The hotel is in the middle of a great area with bars and restaurants but isn't noisy at all.

Great value in Hue
Overall the Orchid Hotel has to be one of the best value places I've ever stayed. In terms of facilities it's fairly basic as it's a small hotel - but the fantastic staff and convenient location make it 5*. The reception staff are all lovely and were highly efficient in booking tours and transfers. The breakfast staff run a tight ship, managing a small space with quick turnaround - I had my best omlette in 3 weeks here! The only minor gripe would be that the initial excitement of a jacuzzi bath ended in minor disappointment as it didn't work. For the nightly fee, I don't think you could reasonably ask for more.

We had heard of taxi scams and despite arriving later than expected, a hotel representative waited for us at the train station and made sure the taxi service we used was an approved one.

I can not praise this hotel enough. My room 603 was superb, very comfortable bed, with everything I needed and the welcome I received on arrival and during stay was outstanding. The breakfast was very good and the staff too were very friendly and helpful without being pushy. Located in a perfect, for me, part of Hue. The next I visit Hue it’s in The Orchid for certain.

The hotel room is very comfortable, clean and nice. The staff service is excellent and they were also very accommodating. They were able to swap our rooms at the last minute so that we could check in early and take a shower after coming from an overnight train from hue. The food selection is very good too. No negative feedback at all.

The hotel staff went out of their way to make sure I was well-attended to. I was ill the last day of my stay and they went above and beyond what was necessary to make sure that I had everything I needed and it really made me so much more comfortable and made me feel better about being sick and so far away from home.
