'Cruising Altitude' is a peaceful waterfront cabin on no-wake cove. Perfect for swimming, floating, kayaking, canoeing. Dog friendly! Beautiful and relaxing setting with a spectacular view. High speed internet for remote working. Safe, quiet cove is ideal for water activities. The main channel is short boat ride away for high-speed fun. Last in the row of 10 identical cabins. Peaceful and beautiful year round. Quiet and cozy in winter, brilliant green spring foliage and vibrant fall colors. Dock is shared the dock with neighbors in Cabin 2 (if occupied). Kayaks or canoes are not available at the property and there is no boat ramp, but Mitchell's Marina has rentals and ramp, about 10 min drive away. \-GUESTS MUST BRING LINENS (sheets, bath towels, band towels, washcloths, dish towels, etc.) They are not provided. \-Guests must remove own trash; directions for recycling and trash site are posted and are 5 min drive away. \-I ask guests to tidy up to a reasonable amount upon leaving. Please wash dishes and stow them. The owner was very sweet to answer questions. The heating and air kept us quite warm despite the cold dip and the high winds. It is a drive depending on the reason for your visit. If we had booked to just enjoy the cabin and the surrounding area it would have been better but we had to check in family and discovered with the back roads travel was 2 hours each way which was a bit much. We were in town for Liberty University graduation. The drive to Lynchburg was well worth it considering the crazy expensive hotel rates in Lynchburg over that time. We were rewarded with beautiful scenery and accommodations for the decision to make the daily drive. I would highly recommend this host. ##### Chad F. It’s in a quiet cove and the last cabin on the road so traffic was not an issue. This cabin is one of maybe a dozen in a small community of cabins. The views are awesome and this cabin is all by itself on one side for extra privacy. No complaints at all! The owner even left a few extra treats (for adults too) which was really kind. Would love to stay again. ##### Adam S. This is where you want to be if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Technology, and road noise. We rented a boat, and the boat dock was just fine. The boat provides all the creature comforts. I would suggest having a bathroom carpet, and/or bath mat. The floor gets very slippery. We intend to come back next summer as well, hopefully it'll be available. ##### Suzanne M.
