Breathtaking views throughout. 8 person hot tub (hot tub closed june-september) Private sandy beach area. 1 hour from Columbus, 2h from Cleveland. Indoor/Outdoor dining. Screened-in porch. 2 Kayaks, 2 paddle boards, Floats, Yard Games. 3 stories with walkout basement. Porch swing. Firepit. Grill. Peaceful and quit, no wake zone in largest cove on the lake Modern/contemporary finishes and layout. Wifi. Free parking, large driveway. Laundry. Family owned and operated. The Space: Welcome to Sandy Shore in Howard, Ohio! We are a spacious, luxurious, custom LAKEFRONT home on exclusive and private Apple Valley Lake. Home includes nearly 6,200 square feet of finished space with 5 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, 2 Family Rooms, 2 Laundry Rooms, and 65' of shoreline. There is additional living space with large flat screen TV in the walk out basement. Great room with vaulted ceiling and windows galore making beautiful views of the water, private courtyard, screened in porch and covered dock with sandy beach area and fire pit. Located in a calm, no wake zone. Two kayaks with paddles, stand up paddle board, floats, corn hole, and lawn games provided. Swimming and fishing available off the dock. Bring your own fishing poles. Two 75 inch flat screen TVs. Extensive outdoor space offering two level deck with screened and non-screen dining areas, gas grill, and lounge area. NEW 8 person hot tub. Master Bedroom with private screened lakeside balcony. Please see amenities section for full detailed list of amenities available at the home. We are not wheelchair accessible. Guests have access to the entire house except some closets where we keep our personal items. You will have full access to the dock and the surrounding swimming area as well as non motorized water toys, floats and lawn games. Guests will not have access to boat. We have a 10 adult guests max policy. If you have more than 10 adult guests you will be asked to leave. All guests must be registered. Apple Valley Lake is a private lake, not open to the public. We have two kayaks and two adult and two child stand up paddle boards available for guest use. Motorized boat is not for guest use. The local marina will not allow non-property owners to rent a a boat. Hot tub is drained and not operational from May to September but will be available for all stays October through April. First aid kit and fire extinguisher are located in the closet with door on top floor in the hallway. The wifi router is located in the second living room on the main floor in case you need to power it off and back on again. Please call us first if there are any issues. There are 2 thermostats. One on the top floor, which controls heating and cooling for the top floor and one on the main floor, which controls heating and cooling for the main floor and bottom floor. If we can do anything to make your stay more comfortable or better, please do not hesitate to reach out to us by phone at any time during your stay. Megan checked on us after arrival and was quick to respond when I had a question. The property was better than expected and every room was setup for 7 adults or 4 couples. The only thing different from the photos is there is no access to the top deck of the pool house. That makes sense to me for safety reasons. The close proximity to Mohican and Mount Vernon trails was amazing. Lots to do or nice to stay at the property for family relaxation. Our family travels quite often to stay at large properties. We all agreed that the Main floor was the greatest place that we had ever seen. Massive front room with fireplace as well as a large functional kitchen. The lake is deep and fishing off the dock was amazing. We stayed in October and usually fishing isn’t very good. I lost a pole do to me wanting to stay warm by the fire pit. Large catfish and lots of bluegill swimming at the bottom which was weird to me. At least I knew what the catfish were eating. The lights at the boat dock made it very easy to see. I think Megan will put some solar lights by the long stairs to the water to make it easier to see at night. We walked up on the grass which really made it safer. Overall, this property was a Gem and we will definitely come back again next year. ##### Bill M. It lacked only a few comforts and necessities, there were no throw blankets, kitchen towels and lights on the steep stairs going down to the lake. Overall, a fantastic time. Will be back soon.
