It is located just north of meeting place of the Four States. Driving in from Colorado on a clear day gives distant views of Monument Valley to the west, Shiprock to the south, the the La Sal mountains, Sleeping Ute Mountain and the La Plata Mountains. This area is a hub of ancient activity with Mesa Verde to the east and Canyon Du Chelly to the west.
