The backyard was very private and relaxing. We were showing Cattle at the livestock show in Houston, getting up early, arriving back at the house late, we felt safe in the area, and the host was very easy to communicate with. Unfortunately, we had to check out less than 24 hours into our planned six-night stay due to bed bugs. We understand these things happen and communicated immediately with our host with photos and videos of the bed bugs and bites on my daughter. Sadly, after a week, the host refuses to refund our stay. Again, we checked out less than 24 hours after the first day. This is what makes staying at a VRBO such a gamble for families over a hotel. This shouldn’t even be a discussion and yet, it looks as though we are having to engage lawyers.
