It was as good or better than the photos. The unit it is in a great location, within walking distance of all the downtown Houghton popular spots. One of the cleanest rentals I've ever stayed in!. Awesome view of the lift bridge, day or night. The proximity to dining and shopping on Main Street could not be better situated. "IF" you are a light sleeper, it's possible you'll hear sounds from the cars going by on the bricks that make up Main Street Houghton. There is at least 1 box fan (maybe 2, didn't look for it) in the room we slept in, turn that on medium and it drowns out any outside noise from the street. The building is renovated from the copper boom, it would be awesome if there was some history on the building in the form of some wall art. The only thing that would've made it better, but even so, would be a king bed in one of the rooms. All of the thoughtful details made it feel like we were treating ourselves to a beautiful vacation while at the same time enjoying the comforts of home. Newly renovated -- amazing open, well-appointed kitchen. Beautiful wood floors. Inviting blend of old character and new finishes. Wonderful yoga studio, walking/riding path along the canal, and little shops out our door. Owners were responsive and helpful, communications clear. What a gem of a place in Houghton! ##### Laurie H.
