Musty smell and ceiling leak

Our stay at this hotel was a 3 at best and that's being nice. The moment we stepped into the 4th floor there was a musty moldy smell and once we got into our "junior suit with ocean view" it got worse. The AC unit was leaking from the ceiling and had water damaged the wooden closet doors(you could tell this wasn't a new issue). We called move front desk to complain and they sent up someone to mop up the mess and that was their "fix" to the mold smell and water leak. Against my better judgement we stayed in that room and I still worry about what damage that may have done to my sons lungs. The mold stench came home with us as well and everything in our suitcase reeks of musty mold. The food is mediocre at best as it's a buffet style for all meals. There was construction going on at the pool area, and inside the lobby as well. I would not recommend this hotel and will be looking at other options when I return in the future.

Close to the beach and shoppings

Pros: The pool and the beaches !~ And Pescatore Italian Restaurant
Cons: Gaviotas Buffet
Location: Flamingo Mall, La Isla Shopping, KuKulman Plaza .
I liked the hotel, the food was fine, and excellent at Pescadore Restaurant ( Try Licor 43 is it delicious !~) ,i wouldn't recommend Gaviotas Buffet , poor food and too hot to be there , we didn't try Maria's. The employees were very cortegeous and helpfull. The beach is beautiful up there . And you have a shoppings at walking distance . Bus is a good option and cheap too.

Perfect getaway

Cons: It will be nice when there is no construction
Location: Mall
My boyfriend and I were both very happy with the food and drinks. I was a little nervous that our room might be a far walk to the beach but it was actually under a 3 minute walk. All of the staff were so friendly. We participated in the 'welcome package' after check out, which was about twenty minutes with a staff member reviewing all the resort had to offer. I was so thankful that we spent the time at the beginning of our stay to do this because we had the best time going to Friday Steak Night - which we would not have known about otherwise.

Pros: Hotel staffs were very friendly and they helped me immediately. The all restaurants we visited were very good.
Cons: There was a concierge desk, but there was nobody most of time when I visited. They also should have more people at checking in counter, so crowded.
Location: We stayed at hotel most of time, but I think it is good location to go downtown, etc.
We had a really good time in this hotel although several constructions were going on inside and outside of hotel. When my wife was sleeping, the construction above our room sometime bothered her. It was not so bad, but it sounded like somebody was knocking our door. There were many restaurants. Our favorite one was Italian. We tried pastas, stakes, sea foods and desserts. All of them were very good. We went this restaurant 2 days in a row. This is a good hotel for a family.

Rooms are comfortable, people are great. Hotel was under construction, loud noises because of construction, paint smell terrible, no AC in the lobby or bar area. Super hot and muggy. A long wait line to book excursions all the time. Pool is very small. Food was horrible. Only one restaurant worth to eat at the pescatore. However, main hostess terrible attitude.

Paid for a beach walk out junior suite that came with my own cabana. In the pictures the cabana was right outside our door. In reality it was the second row of 3 and off to the side. The front row cabanas blocked the view to the beach. We also had another family camped out on our cabana and was told by the front desk that it was our job to move that family off the cabana we paid for with our room. Front row cabanas were for rent at $45. The main lobby area and lobby bar were open air and not air conditioned. The night life was at the lobby bar. Very hot. The second night we were there, the entertainment was a kid's magician - AT THE BAR! Yes, we had screaming kids in an adult area bar. Also, all of the live entertainment was Latin music. No DJ dance music. It was also very hot. And now, the room. It was clean. The thermostat was nowhere to be found and was motion activated. Also the guests in the next room smoked and it came through our central air. 2 of the mornings we were getting sales call at 8am. We had a group of 12 vacationing. Seating at dinner was an issue. One of the restaurants on the all inclusive plan tried to charge us a $15 per person over a party of 10! Couldn't believe that. Except for that one restaurant experience, the staff was very nice and helpful. One more thing was that it was being remodeled. We paid a lot of money for the all inclusive junior suite beach walkout. Not worth it. If you are going to stay there, get a standard room.
