Seemingly endless views, private outdoor hot tub, pavilions, gourmet kitchen, lower level kitchenette, 55" TV with satellite, firepit, wood burning stove, vineyard and fruit trees. 27 minutes to downtown Hot Springs and Waynesville, 50 minutes to Asheville. 4WD/AWD recommended, FWD minimum. The Details With a great cooking kitchen, outdoor grill, and a large deck to eat while enjoying the mountain views, you can connect with nature and each other with each home-cooked meal. Private outdoor hot tub, cozy comfy reading chairs (by the wood stove for chilly days), fully stocked board game library, 55” direct TV lounge area, 1 gig wifi Internet (fast!) and nap-ready hammock help you unwind, play, and relax. With a small grape vineyard, blueberry bushes, rock gardens, boulders to climb, and beautiful trees that inspire the Wondertree Cabin name, you’ll feel like you’ve landed in your own personal mountain paradise. Head out to the mountain-gazing gazebo for morning meditation or happy hour wine and connect with the peace of the gorgeous mountains and trees. At night, enjoy the fire pit and spectacular starry sky. When it’s time for a good night’s sleep, head to your own bedroom (2 King Bedrooms, 1 Queen Bedroom, and 1 Twin Loft Bedroom) complete with brand new Nectar memory foam beds, and your own private full bath. One of the King bedrooms even comes with extra spaciousness on its own floor with a kitchenette, living room, and private outdoor access and porch. For those ready to venture out from Wondertree, take a short drive to 360 degree gorgeous mountain views atop Max Patch Mountain—known to be one of the region’s most beautiful and accessible hikes (less than 2 miles round trip from the parking area to reach the gorgeous summit), intersecting with the Appalachian trail. Or head to downtown Hot Springs, a short beautiful drive down the scenic mountain road, to enjoy a tasty meal out, some local shopping, a visit to the spa, or beer & music at Big Pillow Brewery. Other things to note: The driveway is a steep gravel drive which is why 4WD/AWD is recommended. We regularly drive a little FWD Toyotal Prius up the driveway with no problem, but I know that some people don't have experience driving on steep gravel driveways. A small pullout is located halfway up the driveway in case a guest cannot make it up, but that will require a walk up the remainder of the driveway to the cabin. Our beach vacation was cancelled. We began searching for other rentals and not one compared to the magnificence of staying so close to the Ocean with privacy. During our search, our memories drifted to the mountains and privacy of Wondertree. We reminisced of the incredible long range mountain views, incredible covered deck, ample & comfortable deck furniture, fire pit, lovely kitchen with great cookware, hot tub for enjoying a cascade of falling leaves & night stars, and enormous beds with dreamy mattresses! How beautiful to experience all of that along with the vibrant Fall colors! It was settled…our Divine rerouted our vacation to Wondertree Cabin. My body and being knew that I needed to be wrapped in the warmth of that loving log home! We have rented more cabins that I can count over the years. We have looked the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge area over for all that this cabin offers. From hiking at Max Patch to St. Judes Capel of Hope in the nearby town of Trust, I simply cannot recommend this “cabin stay experience” enough. One is able to feel the love and intention the owners have poured into this home. I love how this place honors Mother Earth and her mountains. Plus, the owner is very kind and so prompt in communication. If I had to describe my birthday week at Wondertree in just a few words: SIMPLY MAGICAL! ##### Lynn B.
