Additionally, we've added a new hot tub spa, a wood-burning fire pit, replaced the steep driveway with a more welcoming entry to the home, and raised the grade around the property by three feet in the backyard, making the view from the top even more spectacular! The property features wide, separate driveways for comfortable, easy access, with no need to back up or make three-point turns. Many of you met him during your stays, our bold little mallard who made himself at home under the sundeck and wasn’t shy about waddling up for a snack. He loved shady spots, cool breezes, and surprising guests near the patio, and he quickly became part of life here on the mountain. Leroy brought joy, laughter, and gentle company to our days, and he became a friend to so many who visited. His little waddles and soft quacks will be deeply missed, and the mountain won’t feel quite the same without him. His spirit will remain in the quiet corners he once wandered, and he will always be a part of this place. We actually enjoyed the view from the front porch a bit more, but the back porch included visits with Leroy, the duck, so it's hard to say which side was best. The house is so roomy and had an awesome amount of counter space in the kitchen and primary bedroom closet. The beds were also incredibly comfortable and my princess-and-the-pea husband is super picky about his mattresses, but liked these so much he took a picture of the label for future reference! Had a slight issue with the hot tub but the host was helpful in resolving the issue. The duck, Leroy, was very cool and friendly. Very short drive to downtown. Our only complaint is the house wasn’t ready for us at the check in time, towels were still in the dryer and the hot tub wasn’t ready to be used until the next day. Amazing views from both the front and back porches! My favorite part was the duck! I really wish he had a little pool though! Check-in was extremely easy and we had everything we could need as far as cooking and comfort goes. It’s not super close to restaurants and such so if you’re looking for that this probably isn’t the place but it’s not so far off you CANT make a quick trip “to town”. It was easy to get to Hot Springs, and any other activity or restaurant we headed to. I will note that the property might be too daunting for parents of young children because of the steep drop-offs in places, but we did not have any issues. ##### Rachel H. The location is within 10 minutes of town, but feels somewhat secluded in a good way. Views from the hilltop location are great. The owners seem to be actively improving the overall property with updated outdoor amenities. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to Hot Springs. ##### Joe B. The house is well furnished with a nice and clean interior, that seems pretty new. There are numerous large windows that provide a great view of the outdoors and abundant light inside the house. The master bedroom is spacious, with a huge closet and an awesome walk-in shower in the bathroom. Second bedroom is a bit smaller, but was fine for our two kids. Only quirky thing about the house is master bathroom countertop and kitchen sink countertop is bar height, which takes some getting used to. Otherwise, everything about the house and property was great. The location was ideal for what we were looking for, being somewhat secluded but still easy to get downtown in less than 15 minutes or so. Entire area surrounding the house and neighborhood is incredibly scenic and peaceful. We watched the sun rise each morning from the backyard chairs, and seeing the fog roll between the mountains as the sun rose over the horizon was incredible. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, or recommended it to anyone traveling to Hot Springs. ##### Joe B.
