One of the highlights is certainly Lake LBJ, as it is one of only 2 constant level lakes in the area. But Horseshoe Bay, has so much more to offer. There are over 8 golf courses within 15 miles. Fredericksburg and all the hill country vineyards are within an hours drive of the property. Horseshoe Bay Resort has become a large draw with fun events and concerts as well as weddings. Marble Falls is 15 minutes away and has a lot of the fun restaurants, bars and night life. Getting Around: A car is the preferred method of transportation in the Texas hill country and Horseshoe Bay. We are a very seasoned traveling family of seven and this was by far one of the best properties we have stayed at. It was clean, extremely well-stocked, and was absolutely as described. The pool and hot tub area were awesome for the kids to swim and play but also relax. The half bath off the pool area was really nice. This is a fabulous neighborhood. We loved walking the dogs and checking out the incredible homes along the bay. We took day trips to San Antonio and Austin. Both were about an hour and a half away. It was a great mid-point. Marble Falls is only a few minutes away and has the grocery stores and the Blue Bonnet Café for breakfast (an absolute MUST). Again, everything was perfect.
