Hopkins is a vibrant traditional village that comes alive early in the morning with the singing of tropical birds and the occasional rooster letting you know it's morning! We walked to all the shops, restaurants. Earplugs supplied for sleeping as the dogs might wake you up. Was not a big deal for us. Three ceiling fans and standup. With all the screened windows, we had no issues. Angel, the groundskeeper was very informative 👍 Security is top notch. Mirko was very communicative property management. Right on the beach and at the same time in the centre of a walkable village! Bought our fruits and veggies on the street, best coffee right next door, and several rustic beach restaurants within easy walking distance. We tried them all and enjoyed every meal. This is a real village, not a resort, so expect the sounds and friendly people of every day life. Stayed 3 nights in Jan 2025 ### 8/10 Good #### Ann Feb 5, 2026 Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, communication Very clean and comfortable, but cooking utensils and pans need retirement. Bathroom door needs fixing so it doesn’t scrape and jam on the tiles. It was a disappointment that the Cabana was not actually beachfront as advertised in its title but behind a higher, larger cabana. Sitting on the veranda we could see the beach and ocean by looking under and thru the other cabana’s supports. I do think this is false advertising however! The Host was Curt ….. it’s weird it was an absolutely lovely bungalow, but saying it is beachfront is misleading as it’s really behind directly behind a large beachfront bungalow that you can see the beach and water through the bungalow stilts in front…. We enjoyed using the kitchen and eating on the deck with a view of the beach. Cozy bungalow for two. Within walking distance of Hopkins eateries.
