Bathroom door needs fixing so it doesn’t scrape and jam on the tiles. It was a disappointment that the Cabana was not actually beachfront as advertised in its title but behind a higher, larger cabana. Sitting on the veranda we could see the beach and ocean by looking under and thru the other cabana’s supports. I do think this is false advertising however! We walked to all the shops, restaurants. Earplugs supplied for sleeping as the dogs might wake you up. Was not a big deal for us. Three ceiling fans and standup. Right on the beach and at the same time in the centre of a walkable village! Bought our fruits and veggies on the street, best coffee right next door, and several rustic beach restaurants within easy walking distance. We tried them all and enjoyed every meal. This is a real village, not a resort, so expect the sounds and friendly people of every day life. Don't forget to tip the gentleman who cleans and rakes the sand all the way from the bungalow to the water (keeps the sand flee population down) ##### Jan V. One of the highlights for us was being just a short 10-minute drive from the best birria tacos we’ve ever had anywhere in the world! Beef Masters Pasture-Raised Farm has a food truck that is a must-visit; their tacos are absolutely incredible.What really made this experience stand out, though, were the people. The locals welcomed us with open arms and genuine warmth, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. It’s hard to overstate how special it is to feel so embraced by a community while traveling.If you’re looking for a simple, authentic, and wonderfully located spot to stay in Hopkins, the Baby Blue Cabana is the perfect choice. The property was a little smaller than we expected, so it was a little less ventilated than we hoped. However, the beachfront was very peaceful and mostly quiet. The location is also very convenient. What a little gem we found. While there is a larger cabana in front of the one we stayed in, blocking most of the ocean view we could still see the ocean a little bit, and literally it was a two minute walk to the beach. The cabana itself was very comfortable with a stocked kitchen, good bed and clean room. Just felt very homey. We'd make a simple breakfast and enjoy it on the deck. The birds were fun to watch, and the sunrises amazing. Walking distance to town which had several restaurants.
