ABOUT YELLOW TAIL CABIN Yellow Tail Cabin is located on a quaint private road just above Lake Cushman in a gorgeous forest setting and is only five miles from the hip little town of Hoodsport. With a convenient private dock, you'll be able to access Lake Cushman for boating, jetskiing or kayaking. Or take your fishing rod down to see if you can get the kokanee or cutthroats to bite. Enjoy the living room, with its comfy recliner and sectional sofa, with pull-out bed. In the evening, light up the gas fireplace to take off the chill and relax with a book or enjoy a movie with the family on the flat screen, smart tv. The room's slider opens onto the deck, where you'll find the propane bbq and outdoor dining furniture. The kitchen is equipped well enough to cook your feast and bake dessert, including a full complement of appliances, pots, pans and dinnerware. For us, having a dock right on Lake Cushman was clutch. The water was a little chilly for swimming, but we didn't mind since it was 80 degrees outside. Two rooms have queen-sized beds and the other one has a queen and a twin. There's also a pull out couch in the living room. Clean linens and towels are provided for your stay. We know that booking a rental property home for your vacation can be unfamiliar territory for some, while others know their way around it. Because we know this, we ensure that each of our properties are up to high quality standards. We do our absolute best to provide support to our guests when booking. We are available to assist you every day of the year if you have any questions or concerns before, during or after your visit to our home. We have onsite property management available 24/7 for anything concerning that may arise. MANAGED: Property requires good behavior and adherence to instructions, house rules, terms, conditions, onsite instructions, and may require online registration, accidental damage protection, and electronic signature before final booking confirmation, or you may cancel before proceeding at that time. This was our mistake as we were unaware until we arrived. The location is absolutely beautiful and the lake is crystal clear. The house was immaculate and comfortable. The home was great; clean, comfortable, and an outstanding view. Cookware needs upgrading and shower needs better pressure.We weren't expecting all the snow which prevented us from enjoying the surrounding area, that's on me for poor planning.Also, the description needs updating. We had no cell service in the area. We had to be in the cabin to use wireless calling. There was no place to park due to plows burying the area designated for parking. And the worst part of all was the little to no help from the management company-poor customer service. Only redeeming grace was Nicole who was the on-site manager.
