Good Canal

We loved staying at this property on Hood Canal. Close to Olympic National Park and a beautiful place to rest and relax. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed watching the sea otters in the mornings.

Great Weekend on Water's Edge!

Our favorite spot

This was our THIRD year at this property. Not only is it in a beautiful setting right on the water, but its proximity to groceries, eateries, golf and other activities is ideal. There are only two of us, but the house could easily accommodate a family two bedrooms upstairs in addition to the downstairs master. We’ll be back again next year to enjoy a break from on Arizona’s summer heat.

Right by Ocean

Awesome house that is right by the Ocean. Very clean and listing reflects location accurately. Only a few minor things to note: the road next to house is very busy, one needs to be careful when going into and out of house; Also, the house needs a first aid kit in case of minor cuts/scrapes. Would love to return!

Great stay in Hoodsport

This property was great for our stay in the Olympic peninsula. We were out most of the day exploring the national park (Forks, Hoh rainforest, Port Angeles, Staircase,etc.). It was nice to come back to such a clean and inviting vacation home on the water. Beautiful views and all the amenities you could need. The owners really have thought of everything. Thanks!

Amazing accommodations

Beautiful home right on the water. Our one rainy day turned out to be great for hiking in the Olympic National Park and we had an evening double rainbow right out the back door after the storm passed. The home was perfect for our family of four and we were able to get groceries with ease a very short drive away. Very cute town area. Great spot overall to unwind and appreciate the beauty all around in Hoodsport and beyond.

Beautiful and well stocked

What a beautiful setting. The home is perfect, right on the beach. We enjoyed finding oysters on the beach. So much to do in the area. The hosts are quick to reply to questions. Everything was above and beyond. The kitchen was stocked, the home was comfortable and welcoming. We will be back. Just amazing!

Everything was perfect as last year. We love this house. Couple mornings were a little chilly and had to use the heater. Had a few oysters and they were fabulous. Love the view One suggestion would be to have a little table in upstairs bathroom for soap and shavers.

Beautiful experience on the water of the Hood Canal

The roomy house is easy to get to and close to many outdoor attractions. It is an emasculate home with many surprise comforts included. The flowers around the house were enjoyable each morning while gazing out at the sparkling water. After a long day of hiking, the cool water felt great at high tide. The owners included plenty of outdoor seating, kayaks and wood and even kindling. The home had all we needed as far as kitchen niceties, paper products, soap, towels and linens. It’s clear that owners love the house and property and so generously want to share it. My husband and I hope to return.

Loved it!

We felt like we were staying at a friends vacation home vs a rental. The property was beautiful both inside and out, and had everything we needed - a true home away from home. If you like to cook while on vacation, you'll find higher end cookware, knives that are sharp, and a great selection of spices. We watched harbor seals poking in the waters every day from the deck; we even had a pair of bald eagles hunting the shore just to the south of us! Our kids enjoyed having their own space upstairs in the game room. It was quite hot on the 2nd floor as there is only AC on the 1st floor, but it was warmer than usual and the kids managed ok. A fan was really needed to pull in the cool air. The only downside is that there is some road noise due to proximity to 101 (worse on the weekend), but the pluses of this property far outweighed the noise for us. We would definitely come back and plan to stay a full week!

Perfect getaway

The original home has a very recent upscale designed addition with large downstairs bedroom, large walk-in closet, and large bathroom with walk-in shower. The water views are relaxing with tides moving water to your left or to your right. At low tide, I walked the beach taking photos of the oyster formations. Indeed a seal would swim past a couple of times a day. The family even provides binoculars to view the wildlife. The kitchen is well stocked and made the preparation of fresh oysters from LilliwaupOysters convenient. (Do call Liiliwaup Oysters the day prior.). North on 101 you may see an eagle or two near Eagle Creek. If you take the road leading west in Hoodsport, the drive past Lake Cushman is extremely picturesque with multiple roadside waterfalls leading to national park trails. This home is in a ideal location to explore the area, but you probably won’t want to leave such a perfect setting. I would love to return.

Stunning home on water's edge

Our hiking group of 4 ladies spent a fabulous long weekend at Hoodsport and this house is one of the highlights of our trip. Helen is very responsive, and informative. The house is clean, bright, and spacious. It has been beautifully remodeled on the first floor (all LVP, no carpets). Well stocked kitchen with plenty of plates, glasses, utensils, pots and pans. Helen even put out a bottle of wine for us; we didn't get a chance to enjoy it but greatly appreciate the gesture. The east facing wall has floor to ceiling windows facing the water. The master bedroom is on the first floor w a comfortable king bed, huge walk-in closet and a large updated bathroom (w 2 sinks and a big shower). Two full size washer/dryer, and detergent. The upper level does not seem updated; it has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a sitting area. The Q bedroom has ample space and a small walk in closet. The 2nd room has 2 twin beds but no shelves or closet; more suitable for kids not adults. It would be nice to add a nightstand and a shelving unit. The bathroom has a tub (no shower), toilet, and a single sink. No counter space for toiletries. Had to place items on the floor. We loved the first floor and the outdoor space, therefore didn't use the upstairs much except to sleep. One quick note, the house is right on highway 101, you can hear some traffic in the upstairs bedrooms, but very little traffic noice on F1. The 2 kayaks are wonderful for exploring the waters near the house (beautiful boathouse, easy boat launch from patio). We kayaked to Hoodsport Hatchery and back in 45 min. Fabulous sunset paddle. The moon rise is very impressive too. Really enjoyed the house and its beautiful view. We will definitely rent it again. Thank you Helen.

Waterfront Views

Perfect location for our base camp during our hiking of the southern part of the Olympic National Park area. Rental was stocked to the hilt with supplies and accessories. Only issue is lack of decent restaurants in the area. We hiked all day and didn’t want to cook. On the last day we stumbled upon the Hamma Hamma Oyster Co and highly recommend the short drive north up 101. Overall a great rental and beautiful spot right on the Hood Canal.

Loved it. Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. Everything you need for a pleasant stay. Love looking out at the Sealions and the Occasional dolphin. Lots of oysters just down and the beach and a BBQ to grill them on.

Fantastic property + location

We absolutely adored our stay in Hoodsport. It was larger than we anticipated, and the hosts had thought of everything-- the kitchen was very stocked, and you could have gotten up to some serious cooking there. There are windows galore, and waking up to the view of the water was amazing. I rarely use workout equipment on vacation, but it was such a nice place to be that I did (rower, cycling bike, jump rope). The tv has a ton of channels, they have games for kids, there is a brand new washer and dryer, and there were more towels than anyone could ever need. It was very clean. We used the hammock a bunch, and the kayaks were really fun for my husband and son. (There is a large lifejacket and a smaller one, but we brought one for a child). You're so close to the water, and we hope to come back in a future summer. We had planned on being out and about during the day/evening more, but we liked the property so much that we hung out there more than anticipated. If you turn out the house lights, you'll see a ton of starts when it gets dark out. The wifi is fast, and when I texted them a question twice, they got back to me within seconds and were so nice.

Great choice!

Perfect choice for us. The property was super clean and appointed with all of the comforts of home. This is a great choice for those traveling to WA by air for a long stay because the washer/dryer means we could pack much lighter. Additionally, the smaller considerations like hair dryer, shampoo, soap, etc are a nice touch. We highly recommend the property and it’s owners and will be back

Lovely stay by the water

We loved being right in the water. We swam and paddled and enjoyed the rhythm of the tide. We Set out a blanket on the small lawn and watched the stars. The house was very clean. The upstairs was hot without air-conditioning, but we adjusted. Some fans upstairs might help. Overall earth day was lovely and we would definitely recommend this place.

As Pretty as a Picture

You can tell this home is Loved, everything you could need from eggs to zip lock bags. I always travel with my spices, knifes and large fry pans. But this home had most of it. The view is amazing, plus some Orcas came into the Canal awesome! A card table for the puzzle would be nice, to allow guest to use coffee table.

Great Rental

This property has a gorgeous view and is close to Hoodsport (grocery, winery, food etc). The checkin/checkout process was easy and the property was very clean. The only improvement I could recommend would be a dishwasher. We only stayed for a few days and mainly ate out but this could be an issue for a longer stay. We would definitely stay here again.
