This Queen bed studio with well-equipped kitchenette is located on the quiet side of the 7th floor at the Waikiki Grand Hotel in Honolulu. Having a built-in desk area has made this the ideal place for those needing to get a little work or studying in during their trip to our beautiful island. The bathroom is clean and bright and benefits from a vanity area as well. The Shower is a shower/tub combination. There is an iron and ironing board in the unit should it be required, along with full laundry facilities (coin-op) on a lower level. As I say the kitchen is well equipped and can really help keep costs down with the ability to cook full meals at home. There's also a Toaster, Coffee maker and decent sized freezer with ice trays. I have also placed everything you should need for the beach including Beach Towels. Chairs are also in the unit for your use. Included with the unit comes Free Highspeed wireless Internet and cable for the television. Within the building is Teddys Bigger Burgers - a must at least once during your stay! We also have 'Hulas Bar and Lei Stand' on the other side of the building on the second floor which offers great local music a few times a week and has a Pool table too (21yrs and over). The hotel has a complimentary concierge service, ideal for getting the Best Deals on island tours & offering great hiking suggestions. It is at the south end of the Waikiki strip, across the street from a park and the zoo, and a block from the quietest part of Waikiki Beach. The hotel itself, although older, is comfortable. There are a few stalls for parking available and a laundry room in the basement. The rooms themselves have been remodelled somewhat, but they are a bit tired feeling. This room did not have a door between the toilet/tub and sink - only a curtain, which didn't provide much privacy. The bed was comfortable but a bit on the small side (it's a double bed, not a Queen). The room has a nice kitchenette, with a full sized fridge. The air conditioner had to be on in order to sleep comfortably as the room did get a bit hot without it. It was a bit of a noisy air conditioner. The room overlooked the back area, down upon the pool, which is currently a renovation area. The pool was usable, although the water was a tad cold. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. ##### Erica & Ken W. The room was smaller than pictured but it served the purpose. The only flaw I would say is the hot water in the shower is mediocre at best. This place was great for our budget. Had a microwave, fridge, and sink to warm up leftovers. Teddy’s burgers is attached as well as a LGBTQ friendly bar on the second floor. Coffee, ABC store, souvenirs, and beach within walking distance. Beautiful view on the top floor overlooking ocean and mountains. Lemon street where the parking is off of beside the hotel is a bit sketchy at night. For parking, had to have my spouse drive around while I went in and paid $30/day for parking. Also took a day trip up the coast and around the North Shore. Saw some of the Billibong Surf Championship at The Banzai Pipeline and Waimea Valley (beautiful!). Had a dinner at Teddy's Burgers right there in the building. Very good burgers and milkshakes. Also used the laundry downstairs which was clean and quiet. No view from the windows - just a parking lot and other buildings. The TV supported my Roku streaming stick (HDMI with USB) so we had access to all our shows. Manager was friendly and responsive.
