This home offers ac, flatscreen tv, wifi, cable, dining for 4, and cute kitchenette. A prompt walk from Hilton Hawaiian Village, Fort DeRussy Beach Park, Ala Wai Canal and so much more. The Hawaiian Monarch is a secured building that includes a spacious sun deck with grilling area, pool, and hot tub, steps away from Waikiki’s shopping, restaurants, nightlife and activities. Take a short stroll to Ala Moana Beach Park, Ala Moana Center, and Hawaiian Convention Center. This flexible studio offers ocean views and sleeps 2 guests comfortably, and up to 4 guests total. This unit is located on the 21st floor. Elevators are available. \*IMPORTANT TO NOTE before booking: Construction noise at the building will be in effect Sep. 3, 2024 through possibly Oct. 29, 2024\. Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.\* KITCHEN/DINING This home includes a cute kitchenette with a hot plate (portable stove), microwave, coffee pot, spacious fridge with freezer, dishes, cups, cutlery and basic cookware. LIVING/SLEEPING AREA This unit includes a queen size bed (sleeps 2 guests), dining area for 4 guests, full size sleeper sofa (sleeps 2), large flat screen smart tv, desk with charger compartment, and ac. Sleeper sofa can be used as a sofa or additional bed; dining chairs are foldable and can be used as desk chair for work desk or stowed to make more space. Kindly note that this space is comfortable for 2 guests, but sleeps 4 max. BED/BATH This unit includes a queen size bed (sleeps 2 guests), full size sleeper sofa (sleeps 2 guests), and full bath with standing shower. OUTDOOR AREAS This home does not have a private outdoor area. BUILDING AMENITIES The Hawaiian Monarch building offers upgraded amenities such as a giant Sundeck, pool and hot tub, paid fitness center (one-time nominal fee), paid luggage storage (one-time nominal fee), paid laundry (nominal fee). The building lobby levels also have a locally-owned coffee shop, car rental, King’s (bar), convenience store and restaurant (Burger & Sushi). Building has 24/7 security, elevators and attached, secured garage. PARKING This home does NOT come with parking. Paid parking is offered based on availability by the attached garage for a daily fee of approximately $40/day. Please note that the parking is not owned by or offered by us. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The day we arrived, the shower was flooded and security had to come up and down draining it at 1:30am. Host was unresponsive and we were left without a shower for 3 DAYS before we decided to check out early from our 7 night stay and book somewhere else. Security had to keep coming to drain it every night of the 3 nights we stayed, and they told us the host knew about the situation before we arrived. Wasn't until after the 4th day that she messaged us that she had another unit available, by that time it was too late. Gave us a refund for the for the 4 nights we didn't stay and 30% from the 3 nights we did, but refund still came out to less than half the amount we paid. When asked for an itemized receipt of the refund, she stopped replying. No email sent with any check-in information, no response to my messages sent UNTIL AFTER I had already managed to get hold of someone to help me check-in. Not enough toilet paper supplied, had to buy our own. Gym on premises (advertised in property details) but ONLY for hotel guests, not Vrbo guests.
