What a perfect holiday location. The barn was so comfy and cosy, with everything we needed and some unexpected extras: a lovely cake on arrival and a shed with toys in that the children loved. Applebarrel barn is far enough away from holiday hotspots to be truly peaceful and private but still within easy reach of the Jurassic Coast where we spent many happy days. We loved eating out in the garden listening to the birds and watching the bats as the sun went down. We were very sad to leave. This is a lovely cottage in a very remote location. The cottage is very clean, nicely presented and very well equipped. Unfortunately for us we did not enjoy driving down two miles of tiny country roads meeting horse boxes, tractors and on one occasion a lost parachutist and having to reverse a long way to find a passing place, each time we left the cottage. We had a very enjoyable stay at the cottage. It was everything we thought it would be. Unfortunately the weather was not too kind and the local fields were very very wet which made walking the dog somewhat of a problem as we had to stick to the roads.
