Great location, and the room itself is very nice. Entrance is difficult to find (not labeled), and even during the designated check-in hours, the staff do not answer the door bell and are difficult to get ahold of to actually get inside the hotel. Once inside however, everything is great. The room is very clean. Bed was very comfortable, and linens/pillows were of a nice quality.

We are sorry about the inconvenience caused, our staff was handling an emergency when you arrive to our hotel, therefore, we unfortunately missed the door bell, appreciate your understanding. In addition, we provided a phone where is outside the main door for emergency to our guests, hopefully to offer a nice place for you and other guests to stay in the future.

I stayed at Tempo Inn @David Mansion for three weeks and highly recommend it! I came here for a job and needed a place to stay while I looked for apartments. The place was tidy, with a friendly staff and great location. I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about, especially the ones complaining about the cleanliness and bad smells from the street. The smells on the street were never overwhelming to me, and I don't understand how they are the hotel's fault. Actually, food smells are just a part of staying in Hong Kong. There are many great local restaurants to choose from as soon as you walk out the door of Tempo Inn. The location is excellent--steps from tasty food, Temple Street Market, and the Jordan MTR. Your expectation for cleanliness probably depends on how much you paid for your room. I got mine at a large discount, so I don't expect 5-star hotel standards. But my room was clean when I first arrived and a staff member came in to tidy up and change towels/sheets every day. I was completely satisfied. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The amenities are tidy--a refrigerator, microwave and drinking water dispenser. The laundry service was nice too (just drop off your laundry and it will be returned to your room--clean, folded and in a plastic bag). I would definitely recommend this hotel/hostel. I'm very grateful for the welcoming, comfortable stay I experienced throughout my first three weeks in Hong Kong.

Location is good. Quality of hotel is bad for the price. Cooking fumes fro the restaurant down stairs gone into the room. The room smells like a kitchen.

Smell noise dirty
Good: -location close to MTR airport bus restaurants 7-11 etc Bad(s): -smell like sewage that comes from the ventilation (possibly from the restaurants downstairs and next door & pipe). Unacceptable to a point that I have to use fragrance and Chinese medicated oil to help sleep. -the room is wore-out completely like staying at the street corner. -noise (baby cries all night long & come from the ventilation possibly from people living in the building) -toilet is smelly like sewage and moldy. Found a lively big cockroach. -the bed sheet is tore-apart. Felt like I had one bedbug bite the first day on my neck. Based on pricing, no complaint on the size of the room etc, wore-down room etc. I just stayed in the room for shower and sleep. But smell noise hygiene to your health plus bed sheet with a hole....it is NOT a place to stay. I will never go back. Due to limited front desk service and my own day schedule, it is tough to complain and try to change room once you check in. Another fun fact is that they claim people smoke (which I knew and I don’t smoke anyway) so they need cash/digital cash deposit....but the room may be smelly as bad as someone smoking in the room!!!! NOT a place to stay!!!

Ok. HK is very expensive.
The stay was ok. The establishment was in good location. The staff was very helpful. HK is very expensive so for 100$ per night do not expect much compared to other asian cities. The location was convenient for airport transfer and subways.

Very convenient shopping and food location. Only 30 min transportation to airport. Inn is inside a pretty old building without proper maintenance. Staff are friendly but unable to get us an extra pillow cuz there was no extra supply but she finally got us a cushion instead. Room is clean but extremely small. Only can allow one person went in first and shifted inside to the bathroom right next to the door so that the next one could walked in behind the first one. We had to leave one of our luggage by the front desk so that we can have room for two of us to get off the bed. We we're told our room was really for single person only. Not recommend for person with luggage cuz no room to open it.

This is my second time within about a month. This time I arrived around 12 midnight and there was no one there. There was a phone number, they answered very fast and help for check in , all easy . The staff is very nice, location is perfect. Room is basic but clean and all facilities are ready for me.

There were bed bugs in our room. I got like over 40 bites all over my body... so I guess it's not that clean.

About the bugs problem , we found it happen after a guests staying. We are already contact pest control and solved the problem .After 1-2 weeks , bugs not exist in the room anymore , we are good to stay now . We are really sorry for the experience. If guests have any problem, please contact us and we will make sure the problem is fixed. Thank you so much for staying with us!

Helpful staff and a overall ok experience.
The information and photos to find the hotel were good. The staff waited up for us despite our delayed flight and were helpful. The room needs a bit of TLC and a better clean, but was fairly quiet and bed was comfy. It was handy to have use of a fridge and microwave. For the money though, we would probably consider other options next time. Also we were unaware of 500hkd deposit for a key. Overall experience ok. Thanks.

Terrible inn ever !!!
Staffs are nice and the location is very convenience. However the room is very small, old, creepy entrance /elevator, w h o r e s and a bunch of thugs downstairs/everywhere ... terrible area. Stayed for a few minutes and then switched to a better one even paid in full already. This inn is terrible !!!

Tempo Inn having the stylish rooms even the limit space in HK, we are effort to provide the best service to our guests for share happiness and cleaning everyday . For the elevator is belonged to the building with it has monthly checking , safety at all and we were having staff working overnight there ,so t is all safety for staying .What;s more we are have the cozy bed for our guests. Hope you can understanding our passion . Thanks for staying.

Our room had no windows so it was fairly quiet, with the exception of the ringing tone from the counter's desk. Room was clean and big enough to put a medium and cabin luggage and manuover around. Staff were friendly and helpful. Was able to store our luggage temporarily after checkout.

Nice location
It is a nice place to sleep, well we only stay there to rest because are out all day. The room is simple and clean. Wifi is quite fast. Toilet is clean. There is a bus stop from and going to airport which is a few walks away.

Best location and on my budget
I stayed for 1 night and this is good location(nearly by Jordan MTR station), clean room. It’s on my budget as a backpacker, have free wifi and there is a small common area with music for relax but couldn’t have a kitchen for cooking.

To crash when on a budget
This Hostel came up as offering the best value in a convenient location. The facility is well maintained, service hours are very extended, the young staff is kind and helpful. Of course the rooms are very small and may not have a window, which is normal considering the extreme density and cost of living in HK.
