Cons Too small and dirty. Don't walk the stairs smells like piss. Building looks scary. Entrance is shady. Has no water. No lobby. No water. Bathroom floor has a lot of hair from previous customers. Wall is too thin, can hear and understand someone talking in next room Would pay $50 more to go somewhere else. Pros. Near subway station. Near bus stop. Walking distance from ferry terminal. Walking distance from various shopping centers and night markets. 1 of 2 staffs can speak

Cheap and best. Good for bachelors or young couple
It is exactly in Jordan station. Everything is available walking distance. I stayed there for 4 nights. My initial plan was to stay for 2 nights and move out. However, I could not find a better place at cheap rate and extended my stay for 2 more nights. You do not have much space to keep baggage and things. It is comfortable to sleep and go out during day. They have two units, one on 5th Floor and the second on 10th Floor. The hotel staff is available on only few hours during day. You need to call the owner if you need anything else. The situation is same in all hotels which cost US $60 or less. For a reasonable hotel room in Hong Kong you must pay at least $100/night.

a good simple option for Hong Kong
I am not prepared to pay $400 upwards so I chose this hotel. it's my third choice since I visit HongKong and the best so far. public transport right in front of the hotel. 2 famous night markets within walking distance, supermarket across the road,all kind of restaurants nearby, central city 5 min. away due to subway. easy to find (once you found it). room is small, good sized beds, shower and toilet are good and clean aircon works good, overall it's what I expected for this price range. next year I will go there again.

Convenient location. Funky smell.
The place looked a lot better in the photos. The size of the room and the bed was larger than a typical HK bedroom. We got a room with a double bed and a twin bed. The double bed was the size of a queen bed, which was nice. There are a good amount of plugs to use. A/C in the room was nice and cold, although sometimes too cold. We didn't figure out how to change the temperature so it was either really cold with the a/c on or stuffy and warm when turned off. I wish I had gotten some flip flops to use in the shower. The shower was over top of the toilet and sink so be prepared for everything in the washroom to get wet. The bathroom smelled funky and there wasn't much space to hang our towels to dry. Towels are not changed everyday so after a few days they started to smell. Other than that, the hotel is located in a convenient location. Close to the Jordan MTR station and right above a laundry service place. Elevators for the building were small and quite slow, so be prepared to wait a bit during busy hours.

Disappointed
I am very disappointed about the cleanliness of the pillow and quilt. The pillow is smelly and the quilt has black bugs. It is very uncomfortable for me to sleep on, before l sleep, l need to slap all the bed amenities and cover it up with my clothes. But, l still can't sleep well. How bad experience it is. Besides this problem, others are acceptable for me.

Best value for money.
Value for money was amazing! I have stayed at many hotels in HK and I am aware of the small rooms, it is very normal in HK, but for the small space of 7-9 sqm. M36 has made the best out of the small space. It is very good for the price I paid and also it was clean. I had some issues with the water pipe in the shower but the hotel staff fixed it quickly. Wifi also works well.
