The area is peaceful and family-friendly, with easy access to local hikes and shoreline spots. Getting Around: A car is recommended for this area. There is no public shuttle access, but the home provides 4 on-site parking spots. Please note street parking is not allowed. Roomy house. Bathrooms small. Very steep staircase to main level makes it hard for seniors to enjoy. Access to patio and grill area not convenient. Very clean and well equipped. ##### Theodore P. Adult son said, "this is the best kid friendly rental ever!" Saw a bear on property on two different days. Used firepit and BBQ every day, very easy. Great floorplan for multigenerational gatherings. However, no woodburning stove for winter months. The second oven is not functional which would make Thanksgiving stays more difficult. ##### Ronald P. Reviewer Comments: We rented this house so all of our family could be together for Christmas. Upon entering, we were greeted with two lit Christmas trees and other holiday decorations! Everything was spotless and cozy and the house is well stocked. Although the house is geared towards young children we had four teenagers with us and it was perfect with plenty of room to congregate or find space for time on your own. We had 3 under the age of 2 and it was safe, clean and easy to manage them!! The owners supplied everything we needed and the rental company responded quickly to our questions. The beach is close but not really walking distance w young kids. It’s a beautiful quiet neighborhood - we never left the entire week!! Hope to go back next year! Great for kids both young and teens.. The stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs were very much appreciated. The closet full of board games and toys were a great addition. This house was a 5 minute drive to Homewood Ski Resort. Well stocked kitchen with plates, silverware, pots pans, blender, crock pot etc. smart TV’s were great. Reviewer Comments: We had a 3 generation summer vacation in Tahoe in June and could not have asked for a better place. If you have kids, little ones to big ones, this is the house! The house has full of amenities with close proximity to hiking trails and the beach. The closest public beach is a bit far to comfortably walk there but only a short bike ride, which bikes can be rented from Homewood. The creek on the premise is a lovely bonus which creates a lovely ambience. However, the path down is steep and river rocks were slippery. Our family had a great time and would definitely stay again. The staff at Tahoe Rental Company are top notch.
