Homer Nordic Yurt is directly next to the beautiful Eveline State Recreation Area. The Eveline trail system is the only portion of Kachemak Bay State park on the Homer side of Kachemak Bay and offers amazing hiking and skiing opportunies. If hiking isn't your thing you can explore the Homer Spit, walk through old town, visit an art gallery, go shopping, eat at one of our many restaurants, or book a fishing charter!
Our beautiful one of a kind modern yurt is 900 square feet and is a truly unique living space with all the comforts of a modern home. The yurt features wood and tile floors, a full bathroom and fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher, one private bedroom with queen size bed and one loft bedroom with full size bed. A supplementary wood stove adds to the rustic atmosphere and abundant firewood is available. The cedar half moon wraparound deck is also perfect for enjoying afternoon cocktails or morning coffee. We pride ourselves in featuring craftsmanship from local Homer artists and tradespeople. This yurt is a Homer gem and we are sure that you'll enjoy the perfectly unique combination of affordable yurt living with modern convenience.
In the summer the 5 km trail system is a favorite spot for taking a hike through abundant wild flower meadows amidst stunning views of Kachemak Bay and the State park. In the winter and spring cross country ski potential is virtually unlimited, with front door access to 30+ kilometers of groomed trails and access to world class back country nordic skiing in the scenic Caribou Hills.
