When you and your crew are ready to get away from mainland living, come join us here at The Cottage for the R&R you all deserve! This adorable unit of an Island Interior duplex is within walking distance to Beach Access, a local park, 2 bars, an arcade, and a convenience store! Spread your wings and enjoy all the amenities this quaint cottage has to offer! When you first arrive, you will find parking for 2 cars in the driveway area. The Cottage welcomes you with a covered porch that is filled with comfy chairs. After a long drive to the beach, you can sit back, relax, and soak in the scenery. Walk inside and you are greeted by the living room area, complete with Flat Screen Cable TV, a comfortable sofa that doubles as a Queen Sleeper, and a cozy corner chair. This property also offers wireless internet service for guest use. Step through to the kitchen side of the property and you will be blown away by the bright, festive, and beachy decor. The antique retro furniture in the sitting area invites you to grab a book and relax while the chef in the family whips up a fantastic meal in the newly renovated Kitchen. Complete with all your major appliances as well as your basic cooking utensil needs, they will feel like a Master Chef in no time! The convertible dining room table has seating for 6 with additional seating at the bar for 2\. There is also a large family picnic table out front where you can enjoy your meal while soaking up the Island atmosphere. Down the hall on the left is the first bedroom which offers a Queen bed, a twin bed with a twin trundle, and a Flat Screen TV with cable. This adorable peachy room is perfect for the kiddos to pile in together. Just down the hall on the same side, you will find the first full bathroom with shower/tub combo. The second bedroom is located at the end of the hall and offers a Pyramid Bunk Bed and Flat Screen TV with cable service. Back out in the hall, to your left, you will find the Laundry Room, which offers a full-size stackable washer and dryer. This room also gives access to the second full bath with a stand-up shower. The backyard offers a secluded sitting area with chairs, games, and a small fire pit so you and yours can sit out and enjoy our fantastic coastal weather. The recently renovated shed has been turned into an outdoor oasis! "The Summering Place" as we like to call it offers renters an enclosed heated and cooled hang-out area separate from the main house. The owner has stocked this little nest so guests can hang out and relax or cozy up and enjoy cocktails while listening to the music coming from the Trailer Bar and Tortuga's Nest. The Cottage is one-half of a duplex property but offers plenty of privacy for its guests. After a few days our suitcases and clean clothes smell like old smoke and we will have to wash everything. We arrived and the mattress covers were dirty, unknown splashes on wall at bed, and sandy floor. Also didn’t realize there was a second rental basically connected to the house. We had to share a small driveway with another renter. This wasn’t ideal with young children with us. The bunk bed situation was perfect for our young kiddos and house was clean and what was expected when we got there. We were worried about it being right next to a bar and even though the music and people were loud on the weekend, you couldn't really hear it that much in the house. The AC unit in the back bedroom was leaking pretty badly when we arrived, but after a quick email they had an HVAC guy come out and fix it right away. TV was kind of hard to figure out between the 5-6 different remotes but luckily we didn't spend much time watching it anyway. No complaints! Great stay! ##### Heather W. Notified rental agent and they sent out exterminator but didn’t help. Wasps all over the place. Inside of houses ok. Very outdated but still ok. It’s located right behind a store and a bar and that prob where the rats were coming from but regardless the rats were all over the property. In the front yard there is a box with many exposed wires. The picnic table in the front yard has a broken bench and is very weathered. The grill at the small house had no propane tank so we bought one. When attempting to hook up the hose to the tank smelled gas and realized the hose was leaking around the adapter. Tried to use the grill from the other porch and it had food on it where it had not been cleaned, dirty, rusty etc. The bikes were rusty and had flat tires. ##### Laura K. There were a couple of issues upon arrival that the property manager attended to fairly responsively (the section of plywood out front on the grass was odd, though). Nice amenities, but they cottage could use at least twice as many place settings. The description states that it could sleep 9, but only has plates and glasses for \~8, iirc. That's an oversight that should be correctly. Otherwise, the location was lovely. I'd be happy to visit again. ##### Micah H. Séjour de 7 nuits en mai 2018 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Derek L. 28 août 2017 #### Great design and appointed well This cottage was an example of an ergonomic living space that was purposeful and smartly designed. Hooks where you needed them, kitchen essentials, 2 full baths, and plenty of sleeping and lounge spaces. The owners chose comfortable cotton textiles, sweet beach accents everywhere, and low maintenance options- the rooms were easy to keep straightened and pretty all week. The outdoor shower is heated and we spent hours reading on the porch. With less than a 5 minute walk to the beach, we could hear the surf and enjoy beautiful skies all day. Downsides didn't bother us- it is next door to a food mart/bar, the music played until about 1030, and it is across the street from an arcade/second bar, so it's right in the middle of a small hum of activity that was overall very calm and only busy for pockets of time in the evenings. 2 minutes to a playground, and you can hop on their bikes or a car for less than 5 minutes for ice cream parlors, pizzerias, shopping, the fish market, and morning cappuccinos. Nice advantage is the second cottage next door if traveling with relatives or friends. ##### Derek L.
