It was a super short walk to the new, well-maintained pool and pickle ball courts, which our kids loved and played daily. The property even had paddles and balls to us! The marina was also super close, which was nice. However, I don’t think we will come back. On the second day of our time there, our water started smelling like sulfur. Yep, like rotten eggs. We had to shower in it, but we had to use bottled water to brush our teeth. The whole place smelled like rotten eggs when people were showering or washing dishes. We called and complained but were told there was nothing they could do about it. All the units had that same issue. They said that the health department tested the water the week before and it was safe. We were incredibly disappointed and it was very disgusting. We did not want to be in Branson but close. We were perfectly close to the lake and state park marina being less then a mile from the marina house. And between 15 and 30 minutes from everything else. Towels, bedding, the pillows - awful, hand soap, shampoo, etc. I understand low budget, but cleanliness should not be impacted by price. Even after I called to let them know it wasn’t clean upon our arrival, there was still a ring in the toilets and our feet were dirty from walking around the floors. Coffee pot didn’t work. The 3rd was a small room fitted with bunk beds. The house was week furnished and decorated. E did not get a chance to try the pool since it was winter. Only 2 critiques were the parking was a little odd for our unit. We had to walk along a fence to get to our front door. In addition the front room received a lot of noise from the street. There was a sound machine but that only helps so much. The management could do a little more to help be sure guests are quiet after hours. Overall loved our stay. Jul 4, 2023 #### Father's Day Stay Fire Station 165 was a wonderful property to stay at - only suggestions would be to have a hardwood floor vacuum on site along with some coasters for drinks. :) The main concerns come from the complex as a whole. The pool was remarkably cloudy and murky where you could not see your feet when standing in the most shallow part of the pool - we typically enjoy a night swim with our kids, but elected not to due to this. The other main concern was the excessive amount of trash that piled up in the trash area that was visible while walking the complex - complete eyesore for those who rent with a direct line of sight. Once the trash was removed, there was still a lot of debris just laying a blowing around and the smell of trash in the heat was evident around the complex. The properties on the complex are beautiful but a few maintenance and amenity changes could be made.
