The whole property has been inspired by Scandinavia, from the crisp, clean lines, to the modern furnishings that combine to invite you to forget your troubles and just relax. So let’s take a look around. Rather than separate rooms, the first floor is open plan with a striking fireplace providing the centerpiece, helping divide the space into separate areas: LIVING AREA This is where you’ll find the 65-inch flat screen TV with Netflix and plenty of places to watch it from. Share the comfy sofa, or take the accent armchair all for yourself. Alternatively, arrange the cushions on the soft carpet and just relax. The modern, rustic wooden coffee table is sure to come in handy. DINING AREA Meal times are always exciting times. And this house has a dining area with a big table that gives 6 guests plenty of room to sit and snack or enjoy a more formal meal together, handy if you’re staying here to celebrate a special occasion. FAMILY ROOM Here’s a separate breakout area with the beautiful fireplace to enjoy and comfortable seating too. Ideal for relaxing with a book, or checking out the Holland Visitor Guide your hosts provide, giving you an overview of things to see and places to go during your stay. The water was well and not well maintained. The showers heads were full of rust and I had to clean it off, only to find that there must not have been enough salt in the tank because it was extremely drying to your skin and it smelled. Very disappointing. If the water issue is resolved I’d give this place a 5\. The coffee pot water reservoir was brown and that’s probably due to the water. We didn’t use it. We purchased bottled water to drink and to rinse our mouth with it. My previous home had well water and was never gross like this. Always drinkable. ##### Jean V. The layout of the house was exactly what we expected. 4 bedroom and 2 1/2 baths, plenty of room for 3 couples and 2 small children. The house was extremely clean, especially the bathrooms, bedrooms, and Kitchen. We fixed breakfast and lunch every day at the house and dinner 3 of 5 nights. We had a fire in the firepit every night as it was cooler than normal June week in Holland. We brought our own Firewood, but we were also able to find a private residence nearby selling firewood at a reasonable price. We walked to the Beach ... only 2 blocks ... but there was parking at Riley Beach if you would prefer to drive. There were also bikes available in the garage, but we didn't have a chance to use them. The downtown area was a 10-minute drive, which we went to multiple times. ##### Kurt C. The teen loved the air hockey and big screen and even the baby felt comfortable and loved all the space to practice her crawling. My only “negative” comment is that the guest staying in the basement have to go up 2-4 flights of stairs to take a shower/bath. We came for a quick trip for my birthday and for a GVSU tour. The house was clean, stocked and comfy. The homeowner was very available and commucated quickly and regularly. The house accommodated my family of five nicely. Lots of room and the projector screen and air hockey game were great for my teenagers. This house slso allowed us to bring our Jack Russell on our trip. This was a great perk of renting this house. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is close to the lake and close to shopping and restaurants. Great house and great location! ##### Danelle V. Phoebe was fantastic to work with and was over-the-top accommodating for us. The house was impeccably clean, and had a unique layout with lots of different areas to sit. This house was perfect with the huge TV in the front room to watch our event on, lots of room to break off into small groups. They have thought every thing through and furnished it beautifully!
