It is very inviting and comfortable, with everything a guest could need. There is a lovely garden full of flowers at the front (seen vividly through the front windows) and at the back (seen through the loungeroom doors and main bedroom which open out to it), and a small deck to relax on. The location is excellent, right next to the Hobart Rivulet, and I could walk into the city centre via this walkway and habitat corridor full of wildlife including platypus, roos and many bird species. The set up suited our needs for the weekend and the cottage was cozy and well equipped. Things we liked included the heating flooring in the bathroom, looking out at the cottage garden when it was raining and we were warm inside, the location which was close to the pub (across the road), a morning walk to the rivulet, the wine bar also across the road and cafes and food supplies down the road. The area is central and the cottage makes it a perfect base if you are travelling north or south to explore. EXACTLY as advertised. It is right on the route for the hop-on hop-off bus about 400m away. The local park is gorgeous, the pub across the road has food for the BIGGEST eaters, and the Wine bar cafe SOUTH just up the road is a MUST DO. You will need a matchbox on wheels to get your car into the garage, with cars blocking the turning circle it was just not possible, but I managed a park in the back street no worries, you just have to time it right.
