We booked the standard room, and it was terrible. We were at the top floor at the peak of the building's roof. I'm not even avg American height and my head was touching the ceiling, especially in the shower. We asked the front counter if we could switch to another room that I wouldn't hit my head. After given excuses we were fed up & were about to book another across the street. Only then were we offered an upgraded room. We were given unclear details about laundry, so when I use their washer/dryer (self-serve for me) I was charged $8 USD at check-out. There are so many better options all around. When I checked in, the receptionist wanted me to leave my passport with the hotel but I said I need to keep it because I may need to exchange money anytime. The second morning, when I finish my breakfast they tried to charge me. The reason was they didn't have my passport. So ridiculous. I paid breakfast when I booked and the payment was useless just because they didn't hold my passport. If they told in the beginning when I checked in then I could understand but they didn't.
