Very friendly staff, very simple but very clean rooms. Room size was more than adequate as a solo traveller with desk and bar fridge. If you want luxury then this may not be the place for you, however if you have had enough of hostels and want a room to yourself at a great price i cannot recommend this place highly enough. \*One note- there is no elevator, so if you have trouble with stairs this accommodation may not be suitable. If or when i return to Ho Chi Minh i will definitely be returning to Son Tung. Beats the hell out of a hostel! Hotel is small, not posh looking, but for the price, it is very worth it. Room is clean and most important, the aircon works, no funny smells or mozzies. Windows both ends (you know when its morning lol) the beds are free of bugs, comfortable (I booked single person but room can actually sleep three with one queen bed which i used for my luggage and clothing as the wardrobe was a bit creaky while i slept on the twin bed). Bathroom does not have a shower screen but the shower is strong and heater works well, wc and washbasins are new looking and clean, no ugly stains etc, plus the airy bathroom window ensures that the bathroom dries rapidly. Staff are generally helpful and you can get your local phone sim card at the phone shop occupying the hotel annexe just next to reception. There is a rooster living in the building beside so you need ear plug. Hot shower, a/c + fan, tv. Close to the backpackers street (bars), restaurants and coffee shop.
