It is located down a very hard to find alley, and it would be near enough impossible to find if you were not either taken to it or shown where it is by someone in the know. The room, despite having no windows was consistently cool, clean and very quiet considering the very loud goings on of Ho Chi Minh. Most things of note are within walking distance, but a taxi to most places will be very cheap. The staff do not speak much English but are very pleasent and will always do their best to help. The old saying of 'you get what you pay for' rings true. Hotel itself is brand new and very comfortable to stay. It is close to the city center but hotel location is a bit odd. It's tucked away down an alley. Very clean, very quiet. Nice staff, who helped with our train tickets, and other queries we had. Breakfast was very nice. The bed was comfy. The location is excellent. Staff speak little to no English We stayed here for 3 nights. When we arrived via taxi we were dropped off infront of a resturant ( nydq) and were pointed down a dark ally. In which we then did see a small sign showing the direction to the hotel. The actual hotel was very nice and clean. The only issue was the staff speak little to no English. Which made it very hard to ask. Questions about the area. There was only one girl that we communicate with, and she was not there often. The hotel is in a great location we were able to walk to the war museum, reunification building, the opera house, the water front, the back packers area is about 2 blocks away. So all in all great location and hotel. In roundabout, you can see nydc( New York dessert cafe),you can also find the sign of Aries hotel next to nydc, hotel is just behind it. The hotel helped us to book tours to Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong River Tour. Hotel is within walking distance to major tourist attractions (forget about getting a cab, the horrid traffic will set you back by 15 minutes, plus its a good excuse to get some exercise). Central but in a quiet side alley where cars can't pass. The superior room was perfect for my needs. Good internet speed for this town, a desk, and even a drawer you could lock. Read other reviews before we tried and yes it is down an alley with no taxi access but not very much of a walk. Felt safe at all times. We opted for a deluxe room and it was by far the best room of our stay in Vietnam. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
