Generally clean and pleasant for a night's stay. Service staff was not too friendly or helpful, however, when I requested for some help. It could be due to a lack of English comprehension.

Just perfect
The hotel was perfect for what you paying for. Great location, friendly staffs, nice room, not a international hotel group but with it is a nice hotel and offer you nearly all what you need (gym, SPA, Jacuzzi...)

Nice Hotel
My stay was comfortable. Although some of the staff was not as friendly as others, they were helpful and courteous. I have stayed at this hotel a couple times and the queen size bedroom was much nicer than the twin room as there was no view.

Lovely rooms. Very friendly staff! Breakfast room awful and food selection disgusting. We only visited 1 day out of 4, it was such a waste of money. Pool/jacuzzi was also out of action, looked like it had been for years. Great central location tho!

Probably the worst hotel in District 1, HCMC
I saw a deal on their website and choose a 2 night stay this hotel on 280 Le Thah Ton. To my horror, they gave me a room - floor was sticky. Furniture had holes and this room was very noisy. Directly opposite this room was a 'sky bar' pumping out techno music into the wee hours. When I complaint about this, they told me I could move to a better room by paying extra. What a scam ! When I went for breakfast, I found it strange that there were hardly anyone there. I soon found out the reason. The breakfast served was bad. Very local Vietnamese. There was not even Pho. Quality and Quantity was equally bad. Later, in the morning I tried to request to have an iron and iron board sent to me. Guess what, they staff was rude and told me off that they do not have such service. I will unlikely visit an A&EM hotel ever again.

The location was central and very accessible. Stayed for 2 nights. Rooms were clean and big with all the amenities you would need. The bellboys were very nice and helpful. The air conditioner was a little tricky just b/c had to turn it on everytime coming in and couldn't find the small power button. The hallways smelled a little from the carpet. I don't recommend the breakfast. The wifi is annoying due to poor and slow connection. This place has great value for travelers that just need a central location and sleep.

friendly hotel, walkable to ben thanh market
it was a good stay. small, but clean rooms with a french feel. despite the language barrier, the staff was very friendly. complimentary bottled water is provided every day. there's also a complimentary breakfast (which i didn't try though, so i can't review that). if you're looking for a swimming pool though, they don't have one—only a small rooftop jacuzzi.

Reasonable and would use again if in the area.
Basic but clean 4* hotel, very close to Ben Tranh market (location excellent). Was asked to hand over our passports on arrival, which is a bit "amateur hour" in today's world. Would have been happy to put a credit card on file instead to cover any mini bar use. Staff were otherwise helpful, except that the staff who covered breakfast were gossiping and swearing in Vietnamese whilst we were having breakfast (they didnt realise that my partner is Vietnamese, from Saigon, and could understand every word). Again, a bit "amateur hour". The breakfast was disappointing - but the rooftop restaurant has a nice ambience. But overall fine, and I would stay here again, if in the area.
