There are nine different types of moss phlox that cover over 17,000 sqm (4.3 acres) of the park. Not only is the scenery amazing, you can enjoy the sweet scent in the air as well! *They are usually in full bloom from late April to the first week of May. *The closest station is Yokoze Station or Seibu Chichibu Station on the Seibu Chichibu Line. There is an extremely steep hill on the way from Seibu Chichibu Station so if you're not up for that or have senior citizens in your party, definitely go from Yokoze Station. (242 reviews) This hotel was just outstanding. Service was top drawer in every way. The street was blocked off (a complete vehicle closure to let people shop and walk in the street). The staff personally arranged for a taxi and walked us to the location for pickup with our luggage. The location is right in the middle of a fantastic local shopping area and is very interesting. It is also a two minute walk to a large temple which was very interesting to visit. Just an outstanding place to stay 15 minutes from the NRT airport if you have some time on an overnight stay.
