My stay at Ryosaino Oyado Mizuhaso was wonderful! The hosts were all very nice, the room was comfortable, and the food was absolutely delicious. Both meals had so many components, it was so much fun to try everything! The private bath was also very nice after hiking up the mountain that day. It was also a very short, easy walk to this place from the shopping area. Choice of Japanese or Western breakfast - choose Japanese, an experience not to be missed! Hotel is just steps from views of the O-Tori Gate and a nice walk into the shopping/ferry area. Very clean, lovely bath and shower facilities very nice after a long day of walking. The people who run it are incredibly sweet and you can see they truly care about your experience. It's still close to the main places. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the stylish bathroom. And the food was fresh and delicious. Very quiet environment. Extremely comfortable bedding. Very roomy baths. Very good ryokan experience. Miyajima is quiet during off season so beware of the fact that it gets dark early and many close by restaurants were closed (early?). The shopping area near the small ferry building stays open and we were happy to have found a few restaurants that were opened for business after 5 pm.
