The hosts made us both feel extremely welcome and accommodated despite the language barrier. The Japanese style keiseki breakfast and dinner were outstanding both in taste and general experience. Thoroughly recommend for those who want a true Ryokan experience. My stay at Ryosaino Oyado Mizuhaso was wonderful! The hosts were all very nice, the room was comfortable, and the food was absolutely delicious. Both meals had so many components, it was so much fun to try everything! The private bath was also very nice after hiking up the mountain that day. It was also a very short, easy walk to this place from the shopping area. Choice of Japanese or Western breakfast - choose Japanese, an experience not to be missed! Hotel is just steps from views of the O-Tori Gate and a nice walk into the shopping/ferry area. Very clean, lovely bath and shower facilities very nice after a long day of walking. The people who run it are incredibly sweet and you can see they truly care about your experience.
