Not enough crockery provided for 4 people. No staff to speak to, just a handbook of instructions. A little hard to find, but no real issue. Laundry provision was great as it was a washer/drier and it’s challenging to get clothes to dry quickly otherwise. WiFi wasn’t instantly obvious but again once figured out worked fine. Quite a trek from the JR station, so might be an issue for those with lots of luggage, but very close to peace park and areas of interest. Roomy compared to other places we have stayed. ##### Verified traveller Stayed 1 night in Sep 2019 ### 8/10 Good #### Helene Jul 27, 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Hébergement correct, modalités d'accès a revoir Emplacement interessant a proximité d'un endroit très animé avec beaucoup de possibilité de shopping et près du mémorial A-Bomb. le logement est très propre, en bon état. un gros bémol sur l'aspect extérieur en mauvais état, c'est au 5 ème étage (avec ascenseur) d'un immeuble ayant besoin de travaux ne serait ce que d'embellissement. Les modalités permettant l'accès à l'appartement doivent être absolument revus par le propriétaire, personne au rendez vous convenu et pourtant demandé avec insistance par le tenancier, un mode d'emploi serait vraiment nécessaire. But there was no heating in the living room, and it was near zero, and draughty, owing to a large gap under the front door. The four in the bedroom were fine. Chidori Inn ought not to take in groups of more than 4 in winter. The building exterior is run down (complete with broken mailboxes) and the inn is actually an old office floor reconstructed. But the interior is pleasant enough and its location is excellent. It's a little hard to find as it's on the 5th floor of a rather non-descript building. The space is well setup with 4 twin beds in the bedroom which is separated from the small living area/kitchen by a sliding door. There is also access to a concrete balcony which looks out over a neighboring cemetery. Not really picturesque but functional for airing laundry etc. The kitchen area has a sink, hotplate for cooking, microwave and mid-size refrigerator. The only drawback to the kitchen area was the lack of cookware. We basically couldn't cook a meal using the hotplate as there were no pots or pans for cooking. There were also only a few plates, cups and glasses, not really enough for a family of 4\. I have experienced this elsewhere in Japanese rental properties though. I'd recommend bringing some plastic cutlery or chopsticks, you can pick these up easily at local convenience stores. The bathroom is setup with the sink and bath/shower combo wet room separate from the toilet which is actually great for families. There is also a great, full sized, modern front-loading washing machine which was a big plus for us. There are hangers for drying laundry but I also recommend having a portable line with you to dry socks and underwear etc. The location is close to a Don Quijote, grocery stores, convenience stores and restaurants. It's really very convenient.
