THIS is the place to stay in Mexico City!

"We couldn’t have asked for a better experience while in Mexico City for 7 days. The hotel is in a perfect location - the city is huge, so a lot of our adventures weren’t walkable but Hippodrome is in a great spot in Condesa that is easily navigable on foot and Uber pick up points. The rooms are clean and well appointed (bottles of water refilled everyday was a nice thing to come back to after hours out in the city in the very upper eighties). Clean! The highlight, though, is the staff. Everyone on the team is friendly, helpful, and they really take the time to understand your schedule to make sure you have everything you need. The travel suggestions were beyond helpful (tips on how to get to places, the best times to go, and additional ideas on what to see in the city). A great group of people who are truly hospitality professionals in every way. "

"Casa cleo is one of the most exceptional places I’ve ever stayed—and I almost always stay in 4-5 star places. The staff is very attentive, the apartment (yes, its not just a room) was beautiful and inspiring, and the location in Condesa perfect for walking to restaurants and bars. The tiny but mighty kitchen is well-equiped, the shower has great pressure and lasting hot water, and the rooms even have two TVs (one in the living room and one in the bedroom). The free breakfast is small but great to get the day started (chia seed pudding and pastries)-pastry and coffee as part of a free breakfast was a pretty standard offering at other 5 star hotels in CDMX. The hotel has a gym too but I got my activity in form of a high step count around the city. The rooms come with a bose speaker and record player as well as good mini bar/fridge offerings perfect for entertaining or having a night in. Overall, 10/10 recommend this. "

"Excellent hotel in the Condessa neighborhood. Nice room and very nice/helpful staff. The building itself has some beautiful touches, including tiled hallways. Apparently it was an apartment building at one time. We had a friendly greeting and were offered a welcome drink at the convenient bar downstairs. Daily breakfast was very good and served at a beautiful terrace on the roof. The breakfast attendant (his name was Memmo I believe?) was extremely attentive and a pleasure to greet each morning. The neighborhood is fabulous. There is a beautiful lush park at the corner and we were close to many restaurants and bars. We felt perfectly safe walking late night in the area. The room had high ceilings, cable TV and some many amenities. The only (minor) complaint is that there is no elevator. Maybe i missed that in the description. Not a deal breaker by any means but it is a bit of a chore going up 4-5 flights after a day of sightseeing if you are on one of the top floors. The cost of the room was very inexpensive compared to comparable hotels. Overall, highly recommended. I am sure we will return."
