Screens on porch were ripped and held together with zip ties. Couch cover was soiled, and so were throw pillows. Water was orange out of the faucets. Owner provided 5 gallon water bottles but they were not sealed and had residue floating in the one we were using. We were booked for a 6 night stay but only provided with one dish rag and one dish towel. Ran out of propane our last day in the gas grill. We had to disarm the smoke detector from the one bedroom because it went off 3 times in the middle of the night. (we did not use the woodstove and we do not smoke).The location was very private and quiet, but we were very disappointed with the lack of cleanliness, especially with the bathroom shower. The cookware needs replaced, the skillets had burned on food left in them. We were able to enjoy our trip because we stayed away during the day sightseeing and hiking. It is a beautiful area. I wish we could have left more positive feedback but this is why we will find a different place to stay the next time. ##### Carol L. There were no neighbors, no sounds of people or traffic and no city lights. Just the sounds of nature and the light from the moon & stars. We enjoyed walking around the many trails, the pond & the beautiful scenery. One morning we saw a deer feeding her newborn fawn. We enjoyed coffee & breakfast on the screened in deck. There was plenty of room for our dog to run freely. It was a wonderful, relaxing vacation. If you’re looking for a place closer to town or food, this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for peace & quiet away from the hustle & bustle of life, then you will love this place! The road up the mountain to the cabin was narrow & curvy and took about 30 minutes. We personally enjoyed the beautiful drive but others might not. There is a gate to get to the property which we knew nothing about & it required a code to open. We called the host & he quickly gave us the needed information. We truly enjoyed our stay & hated to leave the peace & quiet! ##### Anna L. Driving the curving roads through the forest and as soon as we entered through the red gate we knew we had booked the perfect getaway. The property is huge with trails embedded throughout - it was enjoyable to wake up and take an adventure with our dog every morning. If not taking a hike, the screened in porch was dreamy; sitting with a hot cup of coffee looking across the fields listening to the nature that surrounds you. Truly peaceful. Omar and Julia are amazing hosts and were responsive when we reached out. The cabin was stocked full with everything you need while also still making the cabin a true rustic, authentic feel. The locality is about a 25-40 minute trip from stores/restaurants but worth the drives if you want a true getaway that gives a you slice of heaven. I chose this place to get closer to God and that was what i got. My only suggestion to the property's owners is that the screening around the porch be fixed. The cabin is super cozy & inviting, very clean & has many nice touches that make it comfortable! The beds are extremely comfortable, the host is nice, pleasant, & responsive, the property is gorgeous & so peaceful...we really enjoyed our stay!!! ##### Sheri S. The cabin was even better than the pictures and just a little slice of heaven. The cabin has everything needed for a relaxing stay, it was clear that every inch of the space was carefully thought out to maximize space and create the perfect cozy atmosphere. No issues with access or the cabin itself. It was private and peaceful as before. Even though this property is a solid 5 Star location I did have 2 issues this time. As mentioned in the property description there is a small lake with kayaks, however this time the kayak area was a wreck. I was not interested in cleaning and re-assembling the kayaks in order to use them. I contacted the host about the condition of the kayak area. Also, they have a nice firepit area with new blue chairs, unfortunately the birds seem to enjoy roosting on these chairs, and they were covered in bird droppings. I again was not interested in cleaning chairs in order to sit in them. Just as I'm required to pay for a damage waiver to stay at this property, I feel that what is offered during my stay should be ready when I arrive. ##### Bryan D.
