The Space: House, 6 Bedrooms, 4.5 Baths, (Sleeps 12) Under new Ownership and Management effective Sept 2020\. With many new decorations, bedding, and many other new furnishings throughout has greatly updated the feel of this home inside and out! Located at on Mallard Street in North Forest Beach, this beautiful six bedroom, four and a half bath home with two master suites and private pool is a short two minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches on Hilton Head (only 150 yards to the beach). As you enter the great room, you are greeted with a light, casual yet elegant living space. Flanked by two columns, this space contains a living area with white wood floors, a carved whitewashed fireplace, and a dining area that seats eight to 10\. Directly across from the dining table is an open kitchen with an island that seats three. Also on the first floor is the powder room with built-in laundry area (full-size washer and dryer) and a master suite with private bath. The first floor master bedroom suite has a king-size bed, TV, and french doors leading to the porch. The master bedroom has his and her walk-in closets leading to the master bath. The bath has a jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower, and two vanities. Upstairs you will find another master bedroom suite decorated beautifully in blue and white island style. This suite features a king bed, TV, and french doors opening onto the upper balcony. The master bath has a separate dressing area with double sinks and walk-in closet. It also has a jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower. Along the remaining area of the second floor, you will find three queen bedrooms with a connecting full bath and one twin bedroom with a connecting bath. The upstairs king master suite and both queen bedrooms all open onto the upper balcony through french doors. All towels and linens are provided. This home has multiple TV's, one in every bedroom and a gas grill. The private pool is located on the front of the property with a foliage privacy screen (12.5 ft X 29 ft). POOL IS HEATABLE, there is a $700 charge per week or $100 per day of your visit. Please let me know during booking if you'd like the pool heated. For shopping and dining, Coligny Plaza is a short bike ride away, and the bike path is located directly in front of this home. Pets are not allowed. The beach was close enough my 81 yr old mother-in-law walked there every day. Once she was up the stairs in the house, she was able to stay on the main level in the bedroom there. She loved the rocking chairs on the porch. The rest of us loved the place too and there were enough bedrooms and bathrooms that no one felt like they were on top of each other. We particularly enjoyed the big round table where we could all sit down for dinner together. The vegetation around the pool made it so private. Had a great stay with a large, family group. The house has plenty of room and the pool in the backyard is an incredible perk. The house was very clean upon check-in and a pool cleanning crew came mid-week which was nice as the pool was getting alot of use after the daily beach trips. House is only a block from the beach and the street conveniently ends at a public beach access. Also, the beach was not over crowded. All week, we were able to find a spot right near the before mentioned beach access. Suprisingly, the home is stocked with everything you will need and we only had a minor isssue with the fridge but it turned out to be just that the previous renter had misplaced the freezer storage tray. Initially, we did contact the owner/rental management about the fridgerator/freezer and they were very responsive and offered to send out a repair person.Turned out, repair was not necessary once the tray was put in correctly and the fridge and freezer operated perfectly after that. By the way, this occured during the weekend so I was pleasantly suprised to receive the quick response from the rental management. ##### Jothan R. It was so conveniently located to the bike trail just steps from the back yard. A short walk to the beach where we rode bikes! We never rode bikes on the beach before and it was one of the best experiences. The pool was wonderful and clean! The house was roomy and fit 10 adults two teens and two babies! It had everything we needed. A beach wagon, tent, umbrellas, toys and beach chairs. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend. Just a minute's walk from the beach, the location couldn't be more ideal for beach lovers.Upon arrival, we were greeted with a thoughtful welcome basket filled with snacks and water, courtesy of the attentive property manager. This gesture set the tone for a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay. The house is conveniently located near shopping and restaurants, making it easy to explore the local area and indulge in some retail therapy or delicious dining.Additionally, being just an hour's drive from Savannah, Georgia, we had the opportunity to take a day trip to this charming city, adding even more to our vacation experience. I have to say the house exceeded my expectations. When we drove up I thought I arrived at the wrong address....the pictures did not capture its full essence. The location to beach and nearby town with many restaurants was accurately described. The beach magnificent and both easily walkable and great even for bike riding. The weather better than I thought this time of year reaching mid-high 70's. Beautiful pool with plenty of toys. I do recommend heating it this time of year. There was a good supply of beach chairs with a transport cart. Although beach and regular towels provided , I would suggest a second set be available. as well as greater supply of paper products for larger families. Would consider having a pac n play or portable crib for families with younger children. Bikes would be a great idea. Items we didn't have were easily rented. It is a short 2 block walk to Coligny Beach. There is a walking/riding path, mostly in the shade, at the end of the property that is a 0.8mi walk to Coligny Square shops. The pool was also nice. The kitchen was well equipped albeit most of the baking pans were black from cooked on oil and cooking utensils were not in good shape. The refrigerator is too small for a 6 bedroom house and is missing a shelf. We had to go grocery shopping every day because there was not enough room in the refrigerator for our cold food. The great room is the majority of the 1st floor with a dining area, kitchen and sitting area. We had no separate area for the kids to play in, but the description on VRBO was accurate. The furniture in the sitting area is old and tired. The bedrooms were OK but no towel racks in the upstairs master bath. The shower in that bath is also small, fiberglass, and the only control on the water is the temperature. The pillows were lumpy. There were extra pillows in the closet but no pillow cases. I called the local manager to bring some and was informed that they are located 1.5 hour drive away and couldn't bring them for 3 days. We had a large group of family stay at this wonderful property and can't think of a thing we lacked. The ocean and beach every morning with sun at the pool each afternoon. The house/kitchen was well stocked and the pool was even cleaned twice while we were there. Only suggestion would be the addition of a door alarm system for pool safety since there is not a fence around the pool. Not a problem for us as the kids were quite young so constantly supervised but as they get older an alarm for the doors opening would be helpful for any unknown exploring that may occur. The owner was very responsive and answered all questions promptly. This could easily become our regular yearly stop! ##### Lisa M.
