This spacious, 5-bed, 5-bath beach home is the perfect island escape. Nestled in the trees of beautiful Palmetto Dunes, this 2nd-row home is only a few sandy steps from the beach. A beautiful entryway invites you into a grand space with two living rooms boasting huge windows with amazing views and a large dining room with a gorgeous kitchen. There is a king and a queen suite on the first floor. Upstairs, both king suites have an amazing balcony and view of the pool. A fun bunk suite is an ultimate hang-out with lots of room for reading, movies, and family games. This pool area has everything you need for fun in the sun whether sunning, swimming, dining, or grilling. There is an outdoor shower on your way to the beach path, which is just left of the house. Flotilla is truly a vacation oasis

Beautiful home close to beach

This house is beautiful and spacious! All of the bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The house is located within in a gated community (Palmetto Dunes) and while it is not directly on the beach, the walk to the beach is very short. The beach is semi private and much less crowded than the public Coligny beach. The property had plenty of bath towels, wash cloths, beach towels, dish ware, and silverware. The kitchen has every size pot and pan and even a crockpot. The reason I did not give a 5 star rating is due to what I consider minor maintenance issues, however they were annoying and need to be addressed considering what it cost to rent the property. One of the sinks in the upstairs master bathroom was very slow to drain and the shower knob was loose and actually fell off once. The toilet paper holder in the same bathroom was visibly loose. The dishwasher needs to be repaired or replaced. We had a group of 12 and used a ton of dishes that had to be washed by hand, which was annoying. Most of the issues are plumbing related and could easily be addressed by a plumber in one day. The pool sits under a large tree that constantly drops leaves into it so be prepared to keep cleaning the pool. Also, the pool does not have a shallow end so we kept life jackets on the toddlers whenever they were around the pool. Overall it was a very comfortable and clean home!
