Featuring 6 bedrooms and over 5,500 sq ft, this Southwestern designer home is absolutely perfect for large family vacations, golf outings, and family reunions. Understated elegance is the best way to describe the interior of this Hilton Head rental property located at 23 Pelican in Forest Beach. Entirely custom built and designer decorated. This design offers a split floor plan that features 3 bedrooms in the east wing and 3 bedrooms in the west wing with rooms on 3 different levels to provide privacy and quiet. The splendid moldings and columns, solid wood doors, wainscoting and chair rails, 12-foot ceilings with light coves and rounded ceilings and arches, just begin to describe the welcoming appeal of this wonderful Hilton Head home for rent. The design for this home creates a grand central great room with a striking two-story stone fireplace, built in bookshelves, dual wicker ceiling fan with wood coffered ceilings and special mood lighting. The main floor offers a great room, kitchen, formal dining room, laundry room, 2 King bedrooms, powder room and media room. The outside pool / hot tub area is private and features a soothing waterfall from the hot tub into the pool. This vacation home on Hilton Head boasts a completely screened lanai and has an outdoor kitchen with a gas grill. Also included is a poolside bathroom beautifully updated and equipped with a built-in sauna/steam room. The chef style gourmet kitchen is separated from the great room by a granite eat-in bar and features only the finest stainless-steel appliances with 2 dishwashers, ice maker, wine cooler, and 2 separate sink prep areas all with custom granite and top of the line cabinetry. The dining room has a Tommy Bahama round table that has lots of seating and has a rotunda ceiling and designer columns. With a wide range of age groups, 5-68, everyone had something to do. Swim in the heated pool, soak in the hot tub, sit in the sauna, shoot pool, play games, etc. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking or we were a short bike ride to Coligny for restaurants. I’m sure they will be corrected, and were minor and didn’t really impact our stay. Pictures don’t do the house justice, it was very beautiful. Perfect location. We have visited Hilton Head before, but this was the best place we’ve been. Would certainly stay here again. ##### Michael S. The house was clean and very spacious. Plenty of room in the kitchen for multiple people to work together to prepare meals. Each bedroom has a bathroom. The full bathrooms have showers. The 3 1/2 baths are well placed so you don't have to go into a bedrooms to use the bathroom. The beds are VERY comfortable. Due to being there in November, we had the pool heated so we were able swim everyday and use the hot tub. Fabulous! Also with being so close to the beach, we were able to walk to the beach one morning. The restaurants and shops were close but yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. All in all this house is at the top of our list of houses to re visit. Thanks to the wonderful management team who went above and beyond with their hospitality. ##### Karen B. So many wonderful amenities - 2 dishwashers, outdoor shower for sandy feet, wonderful windows, great gathering space in- and out-doors. Family of 9 adults and 2 babies were very comfortable. This was our second time at the property and we could not be happier with 23 Pelican! Great spaces for entertaining, letting people have their own time to relax, and coming together for a game night or two! Had to reprogram it every day. Coffee pots where terrible both leaked and didn’t make coffee hot at all. Half of the pool area ceiling fans were not operating at all. We rented Casa del Sol the week of July 3 -10th for our family vacation. It was the perfect house for our group of (originally) 14, but ended up with a few of the kids' extra guests. It was spacious enough for all of us, although we did use an air mattress. The adults enjoyed lounging on the couch catching up, the older kids (18-25) enjoyed the pool, pool table, and proximity to the beach/shopping area, while the two youngest (2 & 4) enjoyed the pool and running around the house. The house is well-appointed and has everything you need, including pool toys and beach gear (chairs, tent, cart to carry everything). We especially enjoyed the ice machine and beverage cooler. The beach is a quick walk across the street, where one morning, there was a huge pod of dolphins swimming by. There's a plaza with shopping, restaurants, a coffee shop, and a grocery store a mile away. While this area is busy and congested, the area by the house is quiet and doesn't have much traffic so crossing the street to get to the beach is easy. The only (minor) drawbacks: the knives in the kitchen are pretty dull and could use replacing, the grill appeared not to have been cleaned in a while which caused a tremendous amount of smoke when we used it, everyone said their bathroom sinks had slow drains, and some bathrooms didn't feel as clean, but we brought our own Clorox wipes. Aside from those, everything else was perfect. The staff at Luxury Rentals of Hilton Head were friendly and responsive to any questions or concerns we had and followed up to make sure everything was okay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to rent Casa del Sol again! ##### Teresa R. The property was exceptional. Beautifully decorated, well maintained and easy access to Coligny, the beach, etc. Whenever we had an issue with the pool or hot tub, someone was there to fix it right away. Only thing that would have been nice to have were more trash bags and toilet paper. A house of 12 including four teenagers tends to generate a lot of trash and cleanup.
