"Mold under soap trays in shower. Shower head loose behind wall and leaking inside wall. Hair stopper in tub drain loose and broken. AC would only blow air but would not cool. No vent in bathroom so humidity in room was high after use of shower. Mold under bathroom sink. Front desk called my sixteen year old son a grown ass man and threaten to adjust price as we had three adults not two adults and a child. Expedia calls for anyone under 18 to be listed as a child. Paid for breakfast vouchers but wouldn’t accommodate my son, leaving us with one person missing breakfast every morning. TV would work intermittently. Overall not super impressed with the quality of our stay. Had a rough couple of nights trying to sleep uncovered due to the heat in our room. Could be a nice place with a little work. "

"On street parking. Room was immaculate. Bed mattress was wonderful. I slept well. Bathroom and needed supplies was perfect. Tea and coffee service was average. Lex the 3PM front desk person was outstanding. The morning staff needs to be better versed as to where breakfast shops are. I was told that they didn't live locally and had no idea. I did have a early flight and tea wasn't available until 6:30 am. I thought that was a available 24 hours . "

"We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The rental space looks like it was recently built and the furniture, household goods and appliances all look like they are brand new. The host sent us suggestions for things to do in the area and places to eat. I highly recommend this lovely VRBO."

"What a special experience! The Carriage House was as described and much more. It reminded us of our family mountain log cabin that was built in 1934 which we restored 20 years ago. Terrific host, immaculate and one of a kind. We highly recommend."

"My husband needed to go to Duke for a challenging three-month medical procedure, so we searched for a place that felt like "home" but was close to the hospital and his cancer clinic. This house — about 9 minutes from the medical facilities — fit our needs perfectly. The open kitchen-dining-living space was comfortable, and our dog loved the fenced-in back yard. There is one bedroom and one full bathroom on the first floor, and two bedrooms and a full bathroom on the second floor, so we were also able to carve out private spaces and accommodate a caregiver part of the time. Although the house is on a busy road, it is set back, and the deck looks out onto a nice patch of trees. We rarely glimpsed the neighbors on either side. One of the best parts of the location is that you can walk down the residential streets on either side of the property and drop down onto a path by a sweet little creek. That path connects with a beautiful trail along the Eno River. Both are great for dog walking or just human walking. So many deer! (In one direction you do have to walk along the busy road for a short distance to get to the side street, but the landlord gave us permission to walk through the adjoining yard in the other direction, as she owns that property too.) Random tip: Don't miss the Durham Farmers Market! The only other thing I can think to mention is that there IS a dishwasher; we weren't sure from the listing and photos. We would definitely stay here again. "
