The charm here is perfect for a romantic getaway, small family adventure or break from the hustle and bustle of city life. The living room has a high cathedral ceiling that gives a wonderful feeling of spaciousness and has plenty of windows for outdoor views. The windows by the indoor fireplace overlook the outdoor fire pit, rocking chairs, park style grill and picnic table with umbrella. The downstairs bedroom has a king size bed and full bath. The upstairs loft bedroom has a queen size bed, writing desk, and bathroom with a shower. The Treehouse is fully furnished. High speed fiber optic internet , WIFI and free long distance calling in the United States via land line are provided. Mobile reception in the mountains can be spotty but if you enable WiFi Calling on your cellphone & connect to the Treehouse WiFi, reception is excellent. It was so cool and pleasant on the deck where we spent much of our time, so lovely in the mornings! Beautiful Japanese maples! To be honest, the cabin could use a good deep cleaning. Outdoor spaces, particularly, were not ready for visitors. Location is quite good. We enjoyed our stay. By the way, there is no sign saying “Treehouse” so go by the address! ##### Beth S. Weather was perfect. Slight issue with combo to get in door but contacted hosts and they took care of it immediately. They have been very responsive throughout. Property a bit hard to find on initial stay but the seclusion is part of the charm for us. It's only about 8 minutes from all the shops and restaurants though. Will stay again in the future. Loved the porch and rockers and enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. We tried a couple of the recommended restaurants in town and they were great. Host was responsive with questions. With the open loft setup it is probably better for a family with children than 4 adults in my opinion. But, it was GREAT for my wife and I. Even with good directions we found it a bit hard to find initially but loved the remote feel to it. We plan to stay again next year for a family wedding in Highlands. Highly recommend. ##### Roy P. Well stocked (except the upstairs bath wall shampoo/condition was empty.) Fortunately, the Dollar Store is 3 minutes away! Kit had every type of pot/pan/utensils for cooking(which was essential for our Thanksgiving week). Owners even offered us charcoal (not standard practice)although it was way too cold to grill & enjoy the outdoor seating. The fireplace was a huge winner & owners supplied all the logs(which is not always the case). The master BR is tiny(there is no chest for clothes), so we lived out of our suitcases on the floor. There is a large closet w/10-15 hangers). The Master BR bed was super comfy & there are loads of extra pillows (also usually NOT the case). My husband & I wanted to be able to walk to Main St, & chose this place due to affordability vs. walkability, & that ended up being a good decision for us, b/c Treehouse offered a lot of bang for the buck. We ended up loving that it was in between Highlands & Cashiers(a little closer to Highlands). Overall I think it's an excellent value & we would stay here again. ##### leslie k.
