Tucked away in a private, quiet, and truly beautiful location, it offered an unparalleled escape. The night sky was simply unbelievable – a blanket of what felt like a billion stars.The yurt itself is a marvel, equipped with everything you could possibly need and surprisingly spacious, never feeling cramped. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the pull out sofa was too guaranteeing a restful night. We were particularly impressed by the spotless shower and bathroom area, and the incinerating toilet was a brilliant, eco-friendly touch!Unfortunately, our stay was cut short by an unexpected dust storm that closed the interstate, preventing us from reaching the yurt for one of our planned nights. While disappointing, it only fueled our desire to return and enjoy a few more nights in this magical spot.John is an exceptional host; the booking process was seamless, and communication was excellent throughout. An added bonus? It's dog-friendly, so your fur babies can join in the fun! If you're seeking a unique, comfortable, and cozy getaway under an awe-inspiring celestial display, look no further. My wife says “nicer than a motel room!” The road in and out was easily passable, the bathrooms were really clean and kept up well. We even got to visit with the owners on Saturday afternoon when they came for a routine maintenance visit! The sunrise painted a spectacular scene over the landscape, and the sunset was equally beautiful, offering a perfect, uninterrupted view of the distant White Sands National Park. It was the perfect backdrop for a tranquil retreat.Beyond the stunning scenery, I have to give a massive shout-out to the host. There was a slight misunderstanding with our Vrbo reservation, but they handled it with immediate, professional, and courteous service. They corrected the issue quickly and made sure our stay went off without a hitch.
