On this last visit, however, I booked the Queen large apartment expecting the best stay, but reality was the complete opposite. The unit was not cleaned well, it was missing cooking equipment, and the one piece of cookware it did have was uncleaned with burned cheese stuck to the inside."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is perfect for Schaffhausen as it is opposite the station and adjacent to the old town. Everything is walkable and the Rhinefalls are easily accessible by train. The room was very quiet and well appointed.Breakfast was fabulous. Really wish we had stayed another night as the stay was so pleasant. Especially the little birthday surprise at breakfast. Wonderful!"

"The room was a bit minimalist but perfectly adequate for my needs & the price. The room was spotless & an extra pillow & lighter blanket was provided upon request as it was quite hot. There's no air-con but the shutters keep the worst of the sun off the room & the window opens. 2 bottles of water (plain & sparkling) were provided every day plus the biscotti/macaroni every evening. I was on the top floor so there was no noise from above. The staff were excellent - especially reception staff who...
