"Wevhad a one night stop over to visit relatives. Found the hotel clean, tidy and relaxing. Parking was very good, rooms clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good for the overall price. We will book again "

"Clean & comfortable room. Bathroom was fine, had bit of trouble with the shower. Right next to services so plenty of food choices. Good location outside the city centre. Park & ride 5 minutes away for concerts at Southampton football stadium. Check in bit late at 3pm. Top Tip: DO NOT put hotel postcode in sat nav, takes you somewhere else 10 minutes away! Put Rownham Services M27 West instead."

"The hotel was excellent, but the service in the restaurant, especially for breakfast was not good. We had to chase our cooked breakfast 3 times, and waited for over 30 minutes. TBF they apologised and the breakfast was deducted from our bill. The housekeeping staff, especially Sally were more than excellent, and went to great lengths to make our stay comfortable. Overall the room, the location were excellent, and we would stay again. Just a little more attentive in the food service area, please."

"Very basic for the price. Nice size rooms. Smell of sewage throught the ground floor and a little on second floor. Pillows were awful/flat and need replacing, and you need to know that there are two nightclubs directly opposite the hotel. The noise at 3am was horrific and woke us up, and carried on for almost an hour. No air con throughout the bar, and no music, so very quiet and devoid of any atmosphere. I could smell urine in our bathroom, which looked clean, but was very unpleasant. Staff at reception weren't interested when i informed them of the above, and suggested I email the manager."

"Everything was nice and clean. The room was really nice generous size. It’s a little outdated but not too old and it being clean makes totally up for that. Plenty of space for our dog as well. There was also a little aircon unit that helped on the current heat and a little fridge. Definitely worse the money."

"I stay here frequently due to the ideal location for my place of work, since the hotel changed hands several years ago it hasnt been the same, its very poorly staffed, often only one or two staff in at any one time, having to deal with check-in, the bar and any resturant needs. I have stayed in numerous rooms and all seem to have no or little regular maintenance especiall the showers where a good de-scale of the heads, and repairs to the controls are neccessary. Most of the staff are very helpful however I feel the overall management of this hotel is the primary cause of the issue mentioned."
