Sugar Shack Yurt Romantic and cozy!

Our wooden Yurt provides a lodging experience that combines nature with the comforts of home. The Sugar Shack Yurt comes equipped with everything from the basic necessities for a simple camping experience to luxury amenities! A yurt is much more than just another shelter in nature; it is a source of lifelong memories and a sense of romance and adventure. The Sugar Shack Yurt includes private decks with a hot tub, a gas grill, a king bed, queen sleeper sofa, a heart-shaped Jacuzzi tub in the full bathroom along with a separate standing shower.

Let us know if you are celebrating a birthday, honeymoon, or anniversary and we will add a special surprise for you to enjoy!

Choose from the many year-round outdoor attractions nearby, the New River Gorge Visitor's Center, go whitewater rafting on the New and Gauley Rivers with our activity partners Adventures on the Gorge, nearby Winterplace Ski Resort for great snow skiing and tubing. Boating or swimming at Summersville Lake, hiking, golf, horseback riding, ATV's, fishing and just a short drive away from many State and National parks.

The location and yurt are beautiful and very private. The entire staff is fantastic and responded quickly to any concerns. We really appreciated the full kitchen, as well as the private hot tub.Our only minor issues were the fireplace was broken and the heat/ac was challenging to keep a steady temperature. The chemical level in the hot tub was extremely high, however that is better than too low

Perfect Getaway

The Sugar Shack was the perfect getaway spot for us. My husband and I wanted a quiet place where we could relax and enjoy nature. The Sugar Shack more than met our needs. It’s location was perfect for day trips to State Parks. The hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. We’d definitely stay there again.

What a fantastic property! From the local Bridge Day handout, to the Folgers coffee (the best!), red heart bathtub and oat milk honey lotion…… we absolutely loved our stay and hope to be back again soon! Thanks to Country Cabins for a great stay!

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect, not on a busy route but very near all the attractions and parks. I would recommend you to bring a sleeping eye mask, the yurts skylight is very bright.

Wonderful yurt!

Great place for my husband and I to spend my birthday weekend. 1st time staying in a yurt and everything was wonderful (except for the early morning sunlight coming in through the skylight). Would stay again!

Quiet & Charming

My husband and I stayed for a short trip to check out hiking trails and explore the area. The cabin was the perfect size for a couple, very clean and well kept. The hot tub and indoor tub were very nice for relaxing at the end of a long day outdoors. Definitely recommend the Sugar Shack for a quiet, rustic yet comfortable place to stay to visit the New River Gorge area and activities.

Awesome cabin!

The stay was wonderful! We had everything we needed - the cabin is well stocked. Very clean. Hot tub was great. Perfect getaway! We will definitely be going back!

More Than Expected

Me and my girlfriend were looking for a place to stay during COVID, to get out of the house. We stayed at the Sugar Shack and we were not expecting the cabin to have as much as it did. It includes a jacuzzi, a hot tub, kitchen appliances Ie. skillets, baking pans, cooking utensils, silverware, plates, bowls. Even a smart Roku TV. We definitely recommend staying here to anybody who is looking for a secluded/private vacation. We will 100% be coming back here in the future!
