We stayed 1 night while visiting with family. The kids enjoed the pool. I wish the sauna had been open. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. But...wow, the bed was AMAZING. I had such good sleep that I was fully rested by 6:30 am. I'm not a morning person. We had a lovely stay and will be back!

Nice hotel with poor customer service
It took me over an hour to get checked in. The lady at the front stated we don't have a digital card being that you prepaid. I can't get a hold of anybody so you need to call. I called hotels.com and then messaged hotels called the customer service. The lady then proceeded to act like she was getting dizzy and so a guy named Donald had to step in for her. He was very nice but didn't know what was going on because that's not his usual place in the hotel. Then the lady proceeded to say sarcastic things like I'm glad it's you on the phone and not me while she got snacks from the snack area and ate them. Meanwhile, I'm just stuck in limbo waiting. The hotel was clean, it is on a very noisy road.

Room was clean overall. Very noisy-all night long with doors slamming and beating on walls. Keurig didn’t work in room. Paid for breakfast and was told it was not included even though it was paid in reservation. Room overpriced.

I really like the size of the lobby area and all the sitting areas. It was decorated nicely for the holidays. The bed was very comfortable and the bath towels were soft and thicker than most other hotels of this category.

Although the staff was great the hotel it self was subpar. The outside rooms made you feel like you were sleeping next to a race track. And i understand the hotel can't control traffic but i would not recommend if you are looking to get some rest.

this property had an amazing front desk person, Jesse I think. He went out of his way to be helpful. But the rest of the place was falling apart, smelled back and wasn't contemporary at all! Sell it to a lower brand and get your brand off this building.

All of the staff were very nice, polite, and helpful. Although there were limited choices, The food was excellent. We ate in the bar area the first night and had the buffet breakfast on Sunday. Stayed over a weekend in a room on the side of he main road. I don’t know if there was a car show in the area or if it’s routine on weekend nights but cars were racing and peeling out on the main road well into the middle of the night. It made it very difficult to get any sleep. The bathroom was EXTREMELY small.

Was very nice and clean. It had a heated indoor pool which was great for our kids. Only downside was online it said they had options for a free crib/pack n play but when inquired about, they advised they do not offer same.

DECEPTION!
I didn't check in or stay the night that I booked. This hotel is a deception from the pictures online. I did not feel safe or comfortable after riding around the property. A room with exterior entrance..ABSOLUTELY NOT! And there were overgrown bushes near the doors. I WASTED $130!! Definitely not worth that much anyway!

Always such a pleasure to stay here. They’re so accommodating and kind. They need to teach classes on how to treat hotel guests because it is top notch. And the rooms are always clean and neat and it’s just a cozy environment.

The employees were wonderful. Everyone we spoke to was very pleasant and made sure our stay was good and that we had what we needed. The building and rooms however were disappointing showing heavy wear and age. While I believe it was clean, the condition of the place is way over due for a renovation.

Staff at front desk and restaurant were all excellent. Hotel is dated, but extremely clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in hickory.
