It was any easy drive to get to the property and had everything avaliable that we needed to enjoy the weekend. My only "complaint" would be that we went after new years and the Christmas decorations were still up, normally it wouldn't bother me except that we were celebrating my husband's birthday and trying to have a romantic couples weekend. Porch and grill were not clean and some areas of the house such as under the furniture were very dusty. The refrigerator door often hits the counter and does not close. There was not a kitchen table, only an elevated counter. There is not a stopper in the bathroom sink, so you have to be very careful not to drop something when you are washing your hands. The reading lamps in the bedroom are very low and it’s hard to reach the switch to turn them off. ##### Leon E. Séjour de 2 nuits en août 2023 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Daniel S. 7 août 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### Very comfortable stay Beautiful comfortable property as advertised (overall 5 stars). 2 stars for check in process as we were not given the door entry code until just before check in time (VRBO glitch?). That is not a bad thing ... however ... the area the property is located in has essentially zero cell coverage and trying to retrieve check in info in the Hiawasee area is frustrating at best ... plus for some reason Google maps absolutely had no idea how to direct us to the property! So .. get your check info and driving directions earlier before you head to the property and out of cell coverage. This is in no way a negative directed at VRBO host as she was wonderful getting us in the right direction and giving us the door code when we called her. Very much enjoyed the stay. FYI driveway is very steep and will only fit one car... had to use 4 wheel drive to get up driveway as it had recently rained. ##### Daniel S. Séjour de 2 nuits en août 2023 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### zadie 💘💖💗💓💞💞💟 O. 27 juin 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### felt like a scam we could only stay for a short weekend and we couldn’t check in until late that day at 4pm and had to leave by 11am. drove all that way just to have to leave so early in the morning. The host left us snacks and after eating them my stomach was hurting and so was my fiances so we checked the expiration and it was expired. it would’ve been nice to know there was dogs which was totally fine but if one of us was scared of them that would’ve been nice to know. I wouldn’t really call it a treehouse. It’s more of a cabin on stilts in the trees. But I can’t say that mattered much to us. ##### Kim O. Séjour de 1 nuit en juin 2023 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### Jerri D. 31 mai 2023 Points faibles : Propreté #### Beware - Very Disappointing I can’t speak to the interior of this place as I was never able to get in. The owner provided the address but no access instructions. When we got there we couldn’t get in. As there is minimal cell service there, we had to go back out to the main highway to try and reach the owner. Several texts to her produced no response so we contacted VRBO. After an hour and a half on the phone, they were also unable to reach the owner so we were told to find other accommodations, which we did - at the Holiday Inn. Not exactly the kind of getaway we were hoping for. I finally received an email from the owner this morning (next day ) giving me the digital code to get into the house. Needless to say, we no longer needed it. As far as what we were able to determine from the outside of the property, it seems relatively clean but access is difficult because of the steep stairs. Also, the driveway is nearly impossible to pull into because of the loose gravel. There is no internet or cell service there. It was just a very disappointing experience. I do not make a habit of leaving bad reviews as I know things sometimes can happen, but this was totally unavoidable and inexcusable. ##### Jerri D.
