Lovely hotel, very busy Had a lovely evening meal service was very good Breakfast was ok Staff Did not point out we could have toast, cereal, orange juice from designated area, we did not have toast offered with our breakfast or extra tea It’s the little things Overall was a lovely stay

Lovely stay at this hotel. Staff are really nice and helpful. Room was lovely with a view over the park. We stayed room only and found the cost of breakfast @ £17.50 each a bit pricey, however, saying that it was very nice. Would we stay again, definitely but on a room only basis.

Lovely hotel.
Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. My only criticism was that my cooked breakfast arrived almost cold the 2 mornings I was there.

The only issues were the noise from the sawmill at 5:30am on Thursday and the mould on one of the windows could have been cleaned off. Otherwise it's an excellent hotel.

Perfect boutique hotel. Loved the vibe in the restaurant/bar and reception area . We ate in the evening and had breakfast twice and couldn’t fault the quality and choice . Would highly recommend and excellent value for money .

Great room let down by meal
No probs with room with was well up to 3& standard and the breakfast was good. The meal was poor though (a) The portions were small necessitating multi-courses rather than a mains and a coffee, and (b) The steak was really tough and Hexham has Robson's butchers. one of the best butchers int he country for the quality of their meats.

Great hotel - apart from TV reception
Excellent hotel. Staff great. Would have given it 5 stars but the TV reception on most stations was unwatchable. Did report it on checkout. Should have done it earlier in our stay but didn't.

Welcoming on our overnight stop. Beautiful building, informative, friendly staff. Great decor and food. We were lucky with beautiful weather and sat by the tables outside, looking into the park. Beds comfortable . Really enjoyed our stopover and would definitely choose to stay here again. Thank you

Would definitely recommend. This was our first time for my husband and myself at the hotel for a mini break. The bedroom was lovely and spacious, spotlessly clean with a comfy bed. All the hotel staff are friendly and attentive. Excellent food for dinner in the hotel restaurant and tasty breakfast options. We were able to enjoy drinks at tables outside the front of the hotel with a view of the park and abbey opposite.

Central location - very comfortable, spacious and elegantly appointed room. Staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful! The set-up for electric power, which necessitates the use of the door key, was confusing at first, but once sorted out was no problem.
