What a lovely break - we haven’t been on holiday in over 4 years.. this was the perfect one back! It was super relaxing, the all inclusive food was always interesting and had a large range to choose from. The staff (especially in the restaurant) where wonderful I believe his name was Sofkolis (apologies if wrong) was a star, he already knew what drinks we wanted as we were arriving. A lovely place for a relaxing break!

The checkin was terrible due to a discrepancy between the booking with Expedia and the resort. Expedia was quick to provide info to the resort but the resort wouldn’t accept the information. We spent 2 hours at the checkin counter and asked to have a room and then I continued to work on getting a resolution, which didn’t happen until the next day. Gianni’s at the front desk was terrible, rude and disrespectful! However the other staff were very friendly at the buffet restaurant and at the bar pool. Mario at the bar was excellent! The room was very clean. Thongs were not fully open and so the a la cart restaurant was not available for us to book during our 3 night stay, there were no shows or theme restaurant available. The beach is beautiful, you can walk for miles in both directions but it was difficult to find a chair that wasn’t dirty, lots of bird poop. The buffet restaurant food was great but they have set hours for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so food is not available 24/7 as an all inclusive, I am used to having that service. We played mini putt golf and it was fun even though it is in rough shape. Ball went into the hole and never came out so we had to go and ask for another ball! We went out to a Thalassina Aura restaurant across the street and they had live entertainment and was a lot of fun! Crete is a beautiful island and would highly recommend!

This hotel is absolutely phenomenal in every way. The gardens are immaculate and well maintained, the pool is great and lots of parasols and sun loungers and the private beach is also great. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious and you have a lovely view of the sea at meal times. I can't recommend this place enough. Suitable for everyone and only a 10 minute taxi from Heraklion airport and you can book the transfer through the hotel. The facilities are amazing; lots of activities throughout the day like aqua zumba, yoga, mini golf, table tennis, volleyball etc etc. So many things to do - I even did a Greek lesson! 10/10 and would stay here every time. It's exactly like it looks in photos, if not better!

Creta Beach has a unique peaceful ambience with greener outdoor spaces. Hotel facilities and services are good. The property stayed in is quite old, only one power socket. Hotel is backing into to sandy beach and had a large swimming pool. There are daily evening shows to entain guests. Breakfast is excellent, other times we eat out, so can not comment. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This is a beautiful resort, not too big, right by the sea. It has a lovely sandy beach, with sun beds and umbrellas. At the time we were there, it was not crowded. The rooms in the bungalow were clean & spacious. It was also fairly quiet. It’s clear the season is new and this was apparent in the gardens which needed attention. This is perhaps my only criticism. There is potential for them to look way better once they’ve been attended to. The staff were attentive and helpful. Special mention to George at reception as well as Eva. They were very helpful to us. The hotel manager (maitre) was also always very helpful to us when we needed it. We travelled for my cousins birthday and we got some complimentary alcohol & sweets in our room. This was very thoughtful and we appreciated it. I managed to get my upgrade to a bungalow as well as late checkout as I’m an Expedia VIP member. An altogether very good stay.

Genuinely had the best time here in Crete. The room i stayed in had everything you needed for a comfortable stay, the pool area is beautiful and the hotel is located right on the beach. You are walking distance from shops, restaurants and a supermarket is about a 20 min walk. There was a good selection of food for each meal and the staff are THE FRIENDLIEST people I’ve ever met. So welcoming and so kind.

It was low season but still excellent service. Breakfast bar huge availability of freshly laid out food. I expect very crowded in high season but served us very well at end of March. Sea and pool too cold. Excellent base from which to explore the island with hired car. Very good local restaurants. Did not use hotel amenities much but was our choice.

The property was beautiful and well laid out. There is only one pool but it is quite huge. The massages are currently indoor/outdoor facility which was very relaxing with the breeze blowing through. There were built in racks outside to hang wet towels and clothes. It stated not to drink the water. There was water in the refrigerator but no note to say it is free. We received water at our door on the last day.

My husband and I spent a week at Creta Beach. As the hotel had just opened for the season a few days ago, we were effectively the only guests. A few school groups of teenagers were there, but were gone during the day and only kept us up one night. Check in was very easy, we were upgraded to a garden view bungalow as we were on our honeymoon. It was a lovely surprise, and much appreciated! The room was very spacious and clean. Due to our timing, the hotel wasn’t completely set up yet, which was a little disappointing. We still had a very relaxing time, and received superior service in all aspects. The dining staff, especially Marios the bartender and the maître d’hotel were outstanding. The food was always delicious, varied, and well presented. We were often the only guests for lunch, and were cooked our main dish to order. Our one complaint would be the house wine tap lines didn’t seem to have been cleaned out, so there was a lot of sediment in the glasses, and one or two small insects. All in all, we had a good holiday, and would return again!

We spent a lovely week here at the end of Oct. The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. The weather was not the best, but that didn't put a damper on things. There was plenty to do to keep you entertained if you wanted to stay on site, board games in the bar area and activities on the beach if you wanted them. On site food is as you would expect for mid range site trying to cater for lost of people of different nationalities. If not all inclusive eat and drink off site, its a lot cheaper and nicer. There are lots of places to eat just outside the hotel, but as we were just out of season, most were closed. The ones that were open were all great. Petousis Restaurant 15 min walk (to the right, look for the windmill) do amazing grills and pizza. Auto Stop across the road do great cocktails. Don't get car hire from across the road. We were warned by the hotel receptionist, but we did not listen. rubbish battered car and additional charges on our card once we got home. Use the hotel car hire.

Room ok, quiet location
After commenting that we were disappointed with the room we were moved to a nicer one very quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately after having time to settle in we found the bed to be just as uncomfortable (very hard). But even more disappointing was that we had no hot water. After complaining three times we were told to run tap for 15 mins to get hot water. Both thought it ridiculous but we tried and only ever got lukewarm water. Otherwise, staff friendly and food was ok. Hotel was not far from airport but didn't appear to much within walking distance. Think there was a bus that went into the town but we didn't leave hotel. However we had two couples massages and would recommend.

Great hotel, however animation was very much focused on a larger group on french tourists staying at the hotel at the time. Anyone not speaking french was left pretty much by themselves. Although the beach and pool areas were great. Reception efficient in fixing any issues and helpful with tips/maps/bookings. Great choice of food. Bus service NO.6 to city centre was irregular, packed when arrived and took long time due to continuous traffic. We would recommend a walk along the beach to Heraclion centre. Quicker and nicer route. Takes about 35 min.

Great location on the beach
10 minutes from the airport and 25 minutes into Heraklion town centre. Clean and very comfortable accommodation (bungalows), great staff but more 3 star accommodation. The resort caters more for Germans from information, tv channels to food. Lots of fried food, although freshly made and ok it will not be delicious mouthwatering cuisine. If you want more Greek style experience from where you stay, this is not the place. Overall good enough.

Hotel bungalows in Mediterranean garden setting
Stayed from 3/8/15 to 15/8/15, all inclusive. Great staff, great facilities, great location, hotel has private beach with a decent number of sunbeds. Although I have food allergies I could have a substantial meal at each sitting, chef being very helpful with advising as to ingredients of each dish. Whether you prefer the beach or the pool for lounging, get out there early as the hotel was predominantly occupied by French and German guests who seem to have an ethos of put your towel on the sunbed and turn up when you like. No disrespect to either nationality but seems to be their norm. Having said the above about sun beds I can not think of a holiday which was more relaxing than this.

A true misrepresentation!
We are to professionals from New York who came to Crete for a relaxing European vacation. Based o. The pictures on the website I thought the hotel was nice and would be to our liking. When we arrived the staff was accommodating and friendly but the place reminded me of a trailer park. we were told we were being upgraded and when we traveled the dark path to our bungalow I was nervous and concerned. As we opened the door from our cement Parkin, which was poorly lit I felt my anxiety rise. The rooms were minimal with dated finishings. The room I was in did not compare to the rooms that were displayed online. There was a door connecting our room with another room, which was unlocked and At first I thought was a closet. Upon opening it I realized I was walking into someone else's room. We were taken to the cafeteria, as it is an all inclusive and the food was old and unattractive. The wine was hot and the overall feeling of the place was unsettling. We quickly got our bags at left the establishment within 25 minutes of our arrival. We do not recommend this hotel at all.

on beach, 20mins for airport, good location.
we went all inclusive for 1st time and found nothing was too much trouble. staff all very good from maids to matre. D. situated as semi detached bungalows with own patio. set in green and well maintained garden setting. pool and beach also well maintained. kids said wifi was ok not great. food was buffet style, think too high good quality staff canteen, plenty of it and refilled quickly and constantly, fresh bread evey meal time, desert bar and salad bar as well as main buffet usually with a fresh grill meat optoin. meals went along loosely themed days ie monday greek night tuesday mediterainian etc. when we got bored of the food we had t bone steakfor 13.95 euro outside , the resturant had a couple of special nights , pool side bbq and al a carte night as well as a pool side snack bar. near airport but all air traffic turned away from resort so no disturbance, we had a car but you can do without one taxi from airport 20euro local cabs 5 euro for couple miles and regular buses into city 1.50 euro each way, ( seem to run 24 hrs). book 3 or 4 excursion from the many care hire places on the strip and all this would still be under the cost of an economy car (just) creta beach is at one end of a strip of local bars shops and resturants. when we were there the site entertainment ( all day evey day and evening shows) is geared towards french and german language, if you ask or get involved english translation will be done, it did not bother us much as we are used to holidays on camp

A calming, comfortable place to stay.
The bungalows were good and laid out with plenty of space and privacy and no sense of sameness - each is different and the whole style of the place is well designed by a thoughtful architect along modern clean lines. Some have been renovated smartly and some which have not yet been renovated are fine .. a bit battered by careless clients, but spotless and cosy. The food is good and plentiful, with a wide selection, particularly in meats, pastries, breads and desserts. There is also a salad bar. An all inclusive holiday will give you three meals a day plus the services of an all day snack bar by the pool and a free bar offering soft drinks, cocktails, various wines and spirits. It's rather like being on a cruise but you're on dry land!

We travelled for a relaxing holiday and this is what we got. Despina on the front desk was wonderful and helpful. The hotel was mostly French and German at our time . The entertainment team took good care with constant activities for family's with children. No complaints with the food. We were lucky with free upgrade to a superior bungalow we'll recommend

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and eager to accommodate it's guests. The location is convenient for many day trips. The rooms are spacious but the beds are very uncomfortable. Food is included in your stay but it is not food I would recommend. It was heavily salted and often times stale. However, I would recommend this hotel overall.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
This was truly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. This was absolutely not a 4 star hotel. The pictures on their website are completely fabricated. They post numerous photos of food that you CANNOT actually get at this hotel. All meals are a buffet, and not nicely plated meals as shown in the pictures. The bed is probably worse than sleeping on the tile floor. The blankets are disgusting. The walls on the bungalows are paper thin and you can hear everything going on right outside your room (especially if you're close to the amphitheater where they put on nightly entertainment). The nightly entertainment also can result in the hotel blowing a fuse numerous times (leaving you in the dark). The staff is extremely rude (except for Theo - he is the only competent, nice person at the hotel). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and am extremely upset about it's poor quality.

Nice clean friendly hotel on a popular location
Went for a 4 day break to attend a friend's wedding. The accommodation we stayed in although basic met our needs needs and was spotless - there are more luxurious rooms available but for the price this was very good value. The beach was less that 30 secs front our front door, the restaurant and pool areas less that a minute. The animation was mostly in French and not too much in your face which was good for us - it was there if you wanted to use it. You can have lunch at the poolside if you want and the only critique or improvement would be for more food/snacks to be available throughout the day. Not really an issue as the high street and supermarket was a short walk. Enjoyed the stay.

Excellent hotel in well kept gardens. As advertised, conveniently located, really enjoyed my stay. 3 things you should know: 1 - They have a large contingent of French guests for whom they run a lot of loud sessions behind the pool, but you cannot hear this on the beach, sun loungers usually available. My room was next to another hotel which blasted out noise more loudly during the day, although not all the time. 2 - The restaurant was a bit like upmarket school dinners, but nice basic salads and edible food available, you won't go hungry. Soft drinks, beer & wine on tap (wine a bit rough). No probs as a single traveller. 3 - There are some small problems with the rooms: You have to use the room key to lock the door from the inside before putting on the lights & there is not an internal latch. The shower in my room was squeezed into a corner between the sink & loo.

Love French disco music? This is the place for you!
This was the least satisfactory of the 6 hotels we stayed at during our recent trip to Greece. French package tours stop here--which is great if you like loud French disco music until midnight. Otherwise, ask for a room as far from the pool/restaurant as possible. The water in the rooms is non-potable and the management does not provide bottled water; you have to buy it from a nearby convenience store. They try to nickle and dime you, e.g., there's a safe in the room, but you have to rent the key for 3 Euros/day. The coffee served at breakfast is execrable, and the hot water for to is too cool to be useful.

Nice place & very nice staff!
The best thing about this hotel is the staff, very friendly and ready to help in any way they could! The food is good and having wine and beer included in the meal plan was very convenient. The beach is very nice and well kept. The rooms are clean and spacious but feel a bit "basic": no desk, no wake-up clock, no waste paper baskets and the closet and drawers space is quite limited. There are lots of souvenir shops, small grocery stores and restaurants around the hotel, so that is very convenient but that's it. Not much else to go and not in very good shape either.

I spent incredible time in Civitel Hotel which is absolutely fantastic, nothing is missing there ... I would like to especially thanks John at the reception, and the amazing staff who had been so gentle and considerate with me .... Ho soggiornato in questa struttura a metà ottobre con mio marito e mio figlio. Siamo rimasti estremamente soddisfatti da tutto. Ottimo cibo ed in grandi quantità, personale cortese e disponibile, struttura recentemente ristrutturata e tenuta in modo impeccabile. Camera molto spaziosa ed insonorizzata. From check-in to departure, the hospitality and service were high. Upon arrival, we immediately received a room upgrade and a voucher for a free dinner without asking. We arrived late at the location and the reception was attentive enough to inform us that - if we wanted - we could quickly use the buffet in the restaurant before the kitchen closed. Check-in was possible later. Very nice! Upon departure we received a nice bottle of Greek olive oil. Other wishes during our stay were also no problem. We even received a packed lunch one day when we visited the city. In short: super hospitable and it gave us a wonderful holiday feeling. The only downside was the leaking shower, which meant that the bathroom floor kept getting wet and we had to (unnecessarily) sacrifice a towel every time. Although reported twice, the leak was not resolved during our stay. It caused an inconvenience, but is especially inconvenient for the hotel itself if this is not repaired.
