« My family and I needed a place to stay while visiting Williamsport to support our dad as he underwent major surgery and recovery. I found the Mountain House, saw the photos and it looked like just what we needed. And the house didn't disappoint! It feels like a home, which was exactly what we hoped for and needed - a place to relax in between hospital visits, and place to rest comfortably and make dinner. « We had a nice time, very relaxing. We went during a heatwave and a storm but we still had a good time watching movies and playing board games that were available. We also got some fishing in and my 8 yr old and 6 yr old had a good time playing on the swing. We had an issue with the air conditioner and they sent maintenance to help us that afternoon. « My daughter and I have been coming to the Williamsport area to go trout fishing and sight seeing. The property exceeded our expectations. It was very homey and comfortable. We loved having morning coffee on the deck, watching the wildlife go by. One morning 7 deer walked along the stream, just taking their time. What a sight. We can’t wait to come back next year. »

« The house had everything we needed and more. It is located near Reptiland, the Hiawatha Riverboat, Pine Creek Gorge, and other family friendly attractions. There were plenty of places to eat out. The ice cream shop around the corner was a favorite stop. The kids loved the arcade but the real treasure was the scenic creek just steps away. It was the perfect location for kayaking and fishing with newbies. »

« This property set up as a nice location for daily trips in to see the Little League World Series. The location was pretty good for that, and the residence itself was very comfortable and pretty much exactly as advertised. Communication is the host was very good. »

The creek is directly on the property, which makes for a truly splendid time - the Loyalsock is the best waterway in the area, and this is a prime location on the creek, so that alone would make it all worthwhile. However, in addition to this, the house is fantastic; uniquely built, with lots of open space and natural lighting, thanks to the many windows and glass doors, all of which overlook the creek....
