The bathrooms are stocked with courtesy soaps and shampoos designed for quick "off the shelf" use. Each bathroom has a roll of septic-friendly toilet tissue as a starter. You are encouraged to bring whatever you feel you might need beyond the courtesy items provided. The kitchens are stocked with one roll of paper towels, one trash bag for the kitchen trashcan, trial-size dish soap, two dishwasher pods and 1 sponge. Pet Policy: We know what it's like to have dogs that are part of the family, so we welcome well-behaved, fully housebroken dogs (limit 2). All dogs will need to be registered on the Lake Gaston Vacation Rentals site, and they must be supervised at all times or in a crate if home alone. Please respect our home by keeping the dogs off of the furniture, inside and outside. We do not have a fenced yard, but there is a lovely open grass area that is perfect for exploring. It is the owner's responsibility to clean up any pet waste. 2\. The house, like 99% of all lake homes on Lake Gaston, uses a septic system. This system is a finely balanced biological system. Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper. Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse. 3\. Bow-Riders and deep draft Wake Board boats need to check their Hummingbirds to ensure adequate depth in all coves. Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boats.(make sure to bring your bumpers!). 4\. Culverts & Bridges: Be sure to lower your bimini top when going under bridges or through culverts. Appearances can be deceiving! 5\. Security Camera Disclosure: We take your privacy very seriously. However, this home may be monitored by exterior security cameras. The cameras do not record sound. Why do you continue asking I have already replied with an extremely detailed descriptio of the ankle high grass, the kitchen varmint that gnawed a granola bar, the new plastic tea pitcher I purchased and left for the next guests sonce there was only a small one in the kitchen. The steep stairs, ankle high wet grass and heavy to lift boats were a challenge for this grandmother and young children. This was not the best property for us. That, combined with the fact that it stormed 2 out of 3 days of our stay made me realize I had come a long way from Louisiana to lay in bed and read a book. ##### Mary D. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We typically don't cook much on getaways like this one, but we enjoyed doing so this trip. There is a 2nd refrigerator that was great for beverages. It was a short and easy walk to the dock. The dock was big enough for sunbathing and fishing. The cove we were located on did have a good amount of boat traffic and our neighbors were friendly. We also enjoyed sitting out on the deck at night. The temperatures were too hot to enjoy the fire pit, so we just spent more time in the lake. I reached out to the property managers with a couple questions and they immediately responded helping to make our stay even more enjoyable. There are is a Food Lion, dollar store and several restaurants within a 15 minute drive of the house. ##### Diana W.
