This one bedroom/one bath cabin/full kitchen is a rustic and bare basics unit - making it an affordable option for visitors to north Georgia. The vacation rental is perfectly perched between Blairsville, Helen, Cleveland, and Dahlonega, and it is within 30 minutes driving distance to 8 local wineries, four waterfalls, and Brasstown Bald (the highest point in Georgia). It takes exactly 2 minutes to drive to Vogel State Park and Lake Trahlyta or hike the 3 mile B.H. Reece Homestead Trail that connects to property directly to Vogel. The cushions kept sliding out from under us while we tried to relax and watch a movie. The couch has a pull out bed, which we deployed to see if that would be more comfortable, but it was only a slight improvment. Aside from that, our stay was quite pleasant. ##### Samantha S. We were in town for a family reunion at Vogel State Park. The cabin is conveniently located just a couple of miles away. The cabin is comfortable and the owner is very responsive. Any issues we had were resolved quickly. I would recommend that the owner leave more than three bath towels for longer stays because the humidity caused our towels not to dry out between showers. Adding some towel bars in the bathroom might help as well. My only complaint is the water pressure in the shower. I understand that water reducing shower heads are required by the county, but it made for a very frustrating experience. Other than that we were pleased with the accommodations. I didn’t do much cooking, but there were plenty of dishes and cookware for the little that I did. I did have to teach a couple of virtual classes while there and was happy with the wifi connection.
